I admit, I tried and have much fun!) is follow the pictures which show the stages of the final picture.I like the fact that there are different kinds of drawing styles in the book, and different cat faces expressions too.All in all, totally recommend it not only for kids but for everyone who likes drawing cats.

If you have someone in your circle who likes to draw and loves cats ... this is a good instruction book to get them. I got it for my 8 year old, which may have been a little early. But I think it would be perfect starting around 10 years old and up.

The drawings are fairly easy to follow, but this is like all the recent "how to draw" books. No instruction - just different steps that you hope and pray to follow along with.I found it interesting that the name at the back of the book was completely different than the author name on Amazon.

We already have 4 living cats. I said, "NO MORE CATS!" So now they just draw them and put them all over the house. I think they do it on purpose?

I bought the kindle version of this book and just love it! I am very new at drawing and each cat pose in the book comes with easy steps for drawing the selected cat pose, pictures included for each step. Its really great for a beginner like me.
