My 8 year old loves it. And it arrived in good time although it was strange that my own order of a commander deck, which also came from Amazon US, arrived in Singapore a day earlier than my son's even though i think i ordered both decks on the same day.

I was bitten by the Commander bug recently. While I have several hundred cards and a couple dozen decks already built, I started diving into this new game variant after playing with some friends. Commander can quickly become a money-game, with people spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to fine-tune a single deck. If that's something you're willing and able to do, great. But, if you're like me and are frugally-minded when it comes to gaming, you should ABSOLUTELY grab one of these pre-constructed decks. I would recommend it even if it were $50-$60, but because of the fact that it's far less than that (at the time of my purchase) you simply can't beat it. By comparison, I've built a deck along the same theme for the same amount of money ($20-$30). That deck doesn't compare to this one, even though mine is rather well-built, if I do say so myself. This one came with several cards I've been looking for, that are each about half the price of the deck itself. If you know anything about building decks, you probably will want to do some tuning. But, if your goal is to open it up and start having fun right out the box, you can absolutely do it with this deck. You might even be able to open it right up, jump in a game, and win against people who have poured serious money into theirs; it's THAT good. All the cards were in mint-condition too, still in original packaging, so if that's a concern of yours you'll be fine.

I got this as my second Magic deck because I wanted to test out the trampling mechanic. Turns out this deck doesn't really do that, but it does focus on heavy damage-dealing with flyers (dragons, obviously). It's a straightforward and elegant deck - slow mana ramp, though - and although at the end of the day I decided it wasn't to my personal taste, it was still a good introductory deck for a complete noob like me. And I'm sure there are plenty of ways to upgrade it to make it more competitive at the table. Would recommend. :)

It's good. The deck arrived in perfect condition, it was a whole lot of fun to play, and looked amazing. Almost didn't want to open it.
