After plugging it in for ONLY 5mins, there was a Big Flash of light, the wood burner became extremely hot lead to me dropping it on the floor, which thankfully also caused it to be unplugged, I can still smell, what can only be described as electric wires burning!!Previous to this unit, I had bought another Wood Burner for pyrography, which was also a pen style device, almost identical to the one I'm reviewing, the only difference is that the previous one had a Digital display...I've now gotten to the point where I would definitely like a refund at least for this most recent 1, because I live off my disability income, & can't afford to keep buying these, just to have them malfunction and thank God it didn't start a fire!I had to disassemble/unscrew the pieces of it to both visualize what happened as well as where the short occurred & to make sure that it wasn't going to heat up & start a fire, with the remaining electric energy stored within the capacitor/s (which if you don't know, are like hard wired permanent "batteries") able to retain high Voltage which can be released in an instant, split second of time, even after hrs of being upluged!Thankfully I wasn't hurt & it didn't burn down the Tiny Home I'm building!I'm going to send this msg directly to whoever I can get in contact with, to see if they stand by their products & give me a refund or replacement (if replacement, I hope a new one works better than the last couple!

Loved the ease of the tool. Used it to cut deco mesh that I use in wreath making. It keeps the mesh from fraying. Would recommend.
