SCHLEICH Royal Seashell Carriage

This is a very pretty toy, and for a collector to display would be very nice. However, I am not a toy collector and bought these for my daughters to play with. After reading some reviews I see that others have paid around $30 for this. At a price point of $29.99, I think I would have been very satisfied with the product. At $45 each, I am left a little disappointed. The carriage is a little flimsy and there are little flowers and shells that connect to the reins of the sea horse that pop off very easily. The figurines are beautifully painted, but if you're buying this for a child to play with, $45 is a little steep for what you will get. You're better off getting just a figurine set at a little more reasonable cost.

Awesome addition to the mermaid line. Very high quality, excellent paint job and fun to play with. The merman is a great addition to the line, they're rarely made. Easily mixed and matched with the others. Cute accessories and their rainbow unicorn can be subbed for the seahorse unicorn so if you have one, you can have the seahorse used separately and given a rider. My granddaughter has already taken 2 of the seahorses and 'raced' them with the other mermaids, the magnets hold them on pretty well. The hands are all made so that accessories can be universally used in their grips. The mer-people each have 1 arm that moves. Very happy with this purchase.

My daughter chose to buy this with her own money. I have never seen her actively play with anything as much as this. The figures spark her imagination and she has taken to putting on shows with them. So far everything is sturdy and we've had no breakages, but there are a lot of small pieces (accessories for the characters). I am resigning myself to the fact that those will likely never be seen again. We purchased more toys from this range after buying this.

We paid almost forty bucks for it here and it's a good toy for that price, but now I see it's much less at 27--totally worth it, even if you have to help pop the carriage on to the wheels a lot. My daughter has what seems like hundreds of figurines--Pokemon, LOL dolls, hatchimals, etc., but this set is most often out and being played with. Her friends seem to like it best also, so it'd be an awesome gift. She loves her Schleich rainbow unicorns and fairies as well. Can't go wrong with Schleich.

We have many Schleich animals and figurines. They are top quality. So with purchasing this item I expected nothing less. Well unfortunately this item is very poorly made. The shell pieces consistantly detach from the base when it is opened. The front wheel comes off when you use the sea horse to pull it and change direction.The mermaids themselves are high quality and the only nice part of the package.I do not recommend this item.

Schleich Mermaids are so beautifully made it is hard to believe they are children's toys. I love the magnets hidden inside the bottoms of the figures. These are the only mermaid figurines that can sit on horses and in carriages without having to be held on by the child. The only thing that could be improved upon is that the Royal Seashell carriage snaps apart a lot during play. We have to snap it back together often.

Very fun! My two year old and five year old love playing with this. Is very easy to put together. The magnetic feature is so cool. The wheels do fall off but not as much for us as other reviews make it seem. Only when girls are playing too rough for pushing too hard. All the teeny tiny accessory pieces are pretty useless but overall this is a great toy

Update.... initially I rated it a 5, now after one day of “fixing” it 75 times, I hate it. The wheels come off all the time and my 4 year old is not rough with it. Sad bc it is amazing looking.Super cute and durable. Mermaids have magnets to sit on chair and seahorse!

So this is lovely to look at and the details are nice but the shells of the carriage are always falling off. The chair will not stay in even for 2 seconds. Got this for my 4 year old and it is not robust enough to play with. It is probably just for looking at. What I do love is the magnets in the figures. Such a shame as I love schleich

A really nice set from schleich and a bargain for the price, the clam carriage opens and closes the Seahorse detaches so it can be played with separately as well as the figures and comes with some small accessories a great present for any child who is a mermaid fan 🧜‍♀️

I gave this to my partner's granddaughter and she was delighted with it.
