Ordered new cabinet doors without the hinges but drilled for them. I was unable to reuse the inserts from our old doors. These work perfectly. The first set I put in by just using my thumb would not tighten reassuringly or go flush. The next door I used a finishing hammer to just push the dowel until it went flush to just below the surface of the door and that worked perfectly. It also didnt hurt my thumb. I am not sure if necessary but I used the screws from my previous doors rather than the ones that came with the kit. The ones from my previous doors are a little longer and do not taper like a wood screw. The fit is secure so I have no reason to try the included screws.

The cabinets in my house had held up nicely for a decade but then I accidentally walked into an open cabinet door and knocked the European style hinge out of the door. It took me a while to realize that, while it was friction fit, it really should have been secured with screws. The problem was, I could not find screws that would do the trick. I began to have other hinges come loose in the same way. Finally found these. I have to take the doors off and tap the plastic piece in to the hole because it’s a tight fit, but that’s what I want. Now my cabinet doors are much more secure. The heads on the screws could be wider, but these fit fine.

They do not grip the particle board holes well and tend to spin when mounting the hinges. A spot of CA glue in each hole helped, but haven't needed to do that in the past with other similar products.

A very good value. They met my requirement to fix my computer keyboard clamp on desk shelf which the screws stripped the plastic inserts. I will put them in my screw arsenal in case I need to repair any stripped kitchen cabinet hinge screws. The picture shows a plastic holding case but I didn't get the case.

Deceptive advertising is the act of spreading false or misleading information to promote a product or service. It can include making false claims, omitting important information, or using other tactics to trick consumers. That being said, this does not come with a plastic case as show in the prouct review pictures. This comes loose in a white paper box with screws and they end up everywhere.
