This is a horrible product, it broke while I was installing it. First of all the "metal poles" are aluminum retractable rods that are like an old school telescoping pointer for making presentations. Any kid from the 80's and 90's who used them as swords know just how not durable they are. The idea of this gate is sound but this product is poorly made. The bungee loops from mine came off while I was installing it, one had an end already sticking out when I got it and a gentle pulling made the rest of it slip out. If someone or a dog pushed on the gate hard enough they would just pop right out. The rods were difficult to install but not impossible, they should have been made in separate parts that screwed together like a cleaning rod for a rifle. It only comes with three rods so you have to choose if you want the rod on the bottom or the top. If you have a large dog it could hop up on the top and make the whole thing sag, if you put it on the top the dog could go under the gate no matter what the size. If the manufacturer sees this, ditch the stupid loops and put metal eyelets in the material, make the rods screw together and have rods on all four sides.

This product may be useful for some, but I had to send it back. The fasteners kept coming off the wall. Installation was a no go even with two people. I sent it back and went with the conventional scissor gate and it works very well.

Love it ! Definitely get w/ polls! Will say sticky hooks only last a few days then ruin walks! Had to screw them in, don’t waste time or ruining your walls w/ sticky hooks won’t withstand & will rip your walls!

We bought it to keep our puppy in the room while we are not home. He escaped the room in 10 min after we left the apartment as we could see it in the camera. But we have Jack Russell puppy and he is very active and smart

I got the gate hoping it would stop my pomeranian from getting into the livingroom when I'm not home. It seemed promising until I found him sitting in the livingroom after coming home from work. The rods aren't heavy enough to stop your furry baby from crawling underneath. And the hooks can easily be removed by them as well. As far as the damage free you can forget about it. I now need to paint my baseboards because the stickers torn it when removing the gate.
