Most disappointing thing i ever purchased on Aazon
The display is so dull it is almost impossible to read in the sun light. Took it on a dive and could barely read the pressure gauge. The other information was unreadable. I rechecked the manual/instructions to see if there was a way to brighten the display but no. It also looks like it was a 2017 model that was left over and price was reduced. I am sending back for refund and even though it was Amazon prime I am required to pay postage. Totally unhappy with this item. I have two other Sherwood computers one air only, one nitrox that were very good that is why I purchased this one.

Great friend underwater
Easy install on your regulator, Brightness could be better. I shifted my traditional gauges to mu additional HP port on my right side as backup. This computer has everything in one, which is very convenient, but it could constitute a single point of failure, so for the sake of redundancy I chose to keep a backup. Battery it arrived with was nearly dead, but I charged up one of the rechargeable batteries that it came with and it works fine. If you end up with a blank display, go into a dark closet and you should be able to see the display well enough to turn the brightness up.

Good little dive computer for beginners.
The dive computer is large and easy to find on your gear. The loop on it makes attaching it to a lanyard helpful and more efficient for those that don't like things dangling off our person when we dive. It feels sturdy even with the majority of the housing being made from pretty thick plastic, except for the front buttons which feel cheap and are suspended over what looks like the actual computer if I were to take it apart. The Sage is equipped with a quick release system that is anything but. The male end of the quick release is threaded on to the computer and comes of more easily than the quick release. The cover that protects the housing from water intrusion is too big for the quick release to properly function, making unthreading it the best option, but you need to be absolutely sure that it's on there properly before heading in the water. This was my first dive with the Sage and it wasn't my normal spot, it was under the most idea conditions imaginable for diving. Considering the lighting was absolutely perfect for the whole dive the screen was some times difficult to read. My dive guide had coated lenses on her goggles and seem to have had more difficulty than me; I was using cheap rental gear. The ease of use while under water is the only reason I'm not sending it back, I can read it well enough for my needs, basic recreational diver. If I ever upgrade to more advanced techniques, wreck and cave diving or something professional I'm getting rid of it.Now it also touts Bluetooth connectivity- it doesn't work. In fact you pay a thousand dollars for a dive computer that at the very least came with the specialized adapter it needs to transfer data to the computer, but the software that this thing comes with is only a 30 day free trial (which hasn't started counting down yet, so I guess a bonus), then you need to pay for it's features. I've been playing with it for a few hours since I got back from the dive and I can't figure out how to do anything on it. I'm normally not computer illiterate and I don't often have problems figuring out software, but this thing is so antiquated it looks like Sherwood just gave up on developing software after 1999. If Sherwood is reading this, as I think I'm the first person to review this product (maybe even buy it), fix the software and I may like it.

Terrible screen lighting
Very nice computer but the screen is terrible to read in any light.

Cannot read under water
The recommended brightness percentage you are unable to read the screen. Even with it at 100% I could barely read the screen. It malfunctioned and the quick release is jammed in the wrong position and it now completely unscrews from the housing. I spent too much money for this to be happening with this item. Now it is too late to return it and I am out of the country.

Easiest computer to use
I have dove the Sage Computer. I am so impressed. The screen is colorful and vibrant and easy to read. It is so easy to use. I have used other computers and it takes a while to understand how they work. This one is super intuitive. The screen is a little hard to read in direct sunlight but if you find some shade it's no big deal. Underwater this is awesome. The digital compass was really easy and I loved the heading feature. I will be using my Sage for years to come.

very hard to see
once you figure it out its a pretty cool affordable dive computer. o2 sensor is nice for nitrox. it is almost impossible to see though. not a chance on the surface and a challenge underwater. i made a shroud for mine but i cant recommend it. spend more
