Keep a ready supply of super glue on hand.
A few years back, I purchased a couple pairs of these shoes. They were snug and made a little less snug by taking the insoles out. Was a great solution to the fact the actual size of the shoes was about a size less than stated. Still, they held up very well and I still have one of the pairs, after wearing out the toe area on the other pair. The second pair was wearing through at the front too, which prompted me to want to buy more pairs. The order pairs were less bulky, more sleek. The version that is now available are bulkier around the foot and not so form fitting around the foot. The better the form fit, the better they were for working Korean kicks. Still, the latest version is a good looking shoe and fits even more comfortably. The issue with this latest version is the soles peel as quickly as the first time they are put on. It is worth noting I ended up buying 4 PAIRS of these shoes, expecting they would be like the ones I first purchases about three years ago. Of the four pairs, I ended up throwing one in the garbage after they turned into flip flops (during a work out, wearing them for the first time), and then buying superglue to glue down the soles on two of the other pairs. I haven't really attempted to wear the 4th and final pair yet. I am keeping my super glue handy. Where the soles come off is at the heel. Then, progressing from the heels to both sides of each shoe. Super glue seems to work in re-securing the rubber soles, though I have just finished re-super gluing one of the pairs again as of this morning. Because they do not hold up well (without the super glue) in my workouts, I have retired these shoes to street use only. The soles seem to stay affixed a little longer now, but never completely. This is not the first MA shoe I have experienced this with. Mooto brand of MA shoes fell apart even faster and not even super glue, or a shoe repair shop, could keep them held together. So in this respect, this latest version of Turf is certainly better than Mooto brand, but not as good as the earlier version that Turf came out with. Unfortunately.

Not well made
My husband got these for me for karate class. I love the support in the arches, great for my plantar fasciitis. And that's the reason this got a 3.They run big for their size, so they are a little loose, but I can handle that. What upsets me is the fact that after the first use, the sole came off of one of the shoes.... And I was teaching the younger ones in class, not participating except to show how the moves were done. So, very poorly made.

I recommend buying al east 1/2 to 1 shoe size bigger ...
First size was too tight (12), so I had to buy a 13. I recommend buying al east 1/2 to 1 shoe size bigger than your (anyone's) normal shoe size.Very comfortable and light-weight, for me at least.

Great value shoes - second pair my sons has used
Great value shoes - second pair my sons has used. He outgrew and wore out the first - but 4-5 times per week on the mat for almost two years, that's great value for money.

Do Not Waste Your Money!
After having these shoes for a month and wearing them only an hour a week, the soles are already coming apart. Do not waste your money!

you get what you pay for
the shoes made it more difficult, not easier, to train, and the soles started peeling off after 2 weeks
