Commandos Complete - PC

This brings me back to my childhood when games were all original - no copycats out there. I still dont think theres any if not very few games remotely like this. Very tactical strategic game where its all about timing. The chracters are diverse and must work together in perfection to complete the missions.

The first three games were pretty fun to play. Beyond the Call of Duty is a bit harder than the 1st 2nd or 3rd. Strike Force, a first person shooter, was just WEAK and LAME. I loved the originality of the original gameplay. Youve got a thief, spy, sniper, badass green beret wearing guy named Tiny, a UDT/Frogman and an Engineer. All british commandos, but hey thats where we the U.S.A. got the idea to form its own Special Forces. The controls suck since it is on a computer, but overall its pretty good once you get it down. You have to save your game after pretty much every last little thing you do because when you die thats it. You have to start over from the start of the mission. This game requires some thinking too. You can't just run around killing everybody. You have to hide the dead bodies or the gagged soldiers from the enemies site. You have to be quick on your feet yet SILENT about it or you will be caught. Its a stealth oriented game after all. You can steal the enemies clothes, use demo, kill them from long range, use the deflatable boat/zodiac, etc. All the characters skills will all be needed and used in each and every single mission. There is no using just one man to finish the level. You gotta use them as a team in order to proceed in the game. Too bad they dont make them anymore like the first three for the newer consoles. These games are fun to play. Commandos 2: Men of Courage is the overall best one out of all three, but the third one comes in almost at a tie. Commandos 3 is shorter and lacks some hotkeys to use.

A somewhat exciting time-traveling experience. The setting and the AI is the best real-time test of your strategies and manipulation of keyboard-and-mouse. Same story, same characters, different genre, making the game more fun.

Game appears to be a pirated version. It doesn't work on any operating system. Don't waste your money.

beyond the call of duty works fine. The original Commandos won't load (direct x5 not installed). Commandos 3 won't load (commandos3.exe application error)

Commandos was the very first video game(PC) I've played. ever since I've fallen in Love with the whole collection. not only that, so many memories of friends that always stays with me because of this game. they've always done the things that started similar games but no game could reach them. I'm so excited about this collection because the first 2 games won't work on XP but I think through this DVD it'll be fine.ultimate strategy game, LOVE IT.highly highly recommended

Great compilation of the Commandos games!Reliving old school times. A must have in your collection.Works fine on Windows 8.1 x64, no issues at lot.
