Q: What is the difference between a valve with dlt and a valve with a short tail? what does dlt mean and what does short tail mean on a float valve?

Detachable long tail. The short tail lenght will work well for thin-walled tanks but for thick-walled tanks the long tail version will make installation simpler.

Q: Is 1 inch the outside diameter of the threaded inlet?

It is a 1 inch outside diameter for the threaded inlet. That inlet is a hard black plastic !

Q: Do these come with the threaded washer and rubber washer to attach to the water trough?

yes, mine came with every thing needed to install it

Q: What does it come inside the box? is the elbow included? do i need to buy anything additional to attach it to the hose? can i use this

You need to reduce the 1” tail piece of the Jobe valve down to a 3/4” to attach a hose to it!
