Amazing Invention!!
These connectors were perfect for the installation of our low voltage backyard lighting. I just completed the installation this week and it made everything so much simpler and quicker. Time will tell if they hold up in the outdoor wet conditions next winter, but for now I am a happy camper.I read another review that someone complained that the 12 & 14 gauge wire didn't fit for them, but I used 14 gauge for the closer runs and 12 gauge for the 100 ft run. All 17 of the lights are functioning well. There were no issues inserting the wires into this connector. Not sure what their issue was. I didn't have that problem. One connection came without two of the 4 caps, but I ordered extra. Not a problem. The only challenge I had was in splitting the two halves of the wire. On 3 of the 17 I did manage to slightly expose the wire on one side. I used electrical tape and sealed it up. Lights work. I am happy.I would absolutely recommend these electrical connections.

Installing low voltage landscape lights? This is a GAME CHANGER!
Game changer when putting in outdoor low voltage lighting - this made the whole process SO much easier to DIY.

Works!
Built to last! No corrosion even in salt air environment! I did bath the wire entry points with liquid electrical tape as insurance. Been a solid performer over past 5 years

Tough with heavy gauge and caps don't screw tight
With 10/2 wire the metal piercing didn't always make contact - most times could get it there by pressing with a screwdriver. The screw caps plastic material does not allow you to screw tightly as it 'skips' loose when trying to crank it down. But it was still faster than wire caps and electrical tape.

Very easy to use
Easiest way to hook up low voltage landscape lighting.

Far superior to the old type
Work perfectly. Easy to use. We wired in thirteen lights with 14-gauge main feed line for the 12 volts. I would not suggest these for twelve-gauge as once you separate the wire it will be too thick to push down into the slots which house the pins. Hey, 14-gauge is all you need anyway these days with low power LED 12 V bulbs. A tip to split the main feed wire: use an old, hooked carpet knife. Put the wire on a piece of scrap wood. Press the blade down between the wires, pull up and you create the necessary space to install the connector.

Design Issues
I should have read the reviews more carefully. I had exactly the same problems as many others. I bought the 24 pack of "new" connectors to install walkway lights using Wirefy 14/2 wiring on my driveway. Out of the first 12 lights installed only three of these connectors worked. The connector pin never penetrated through the wire sheathing far enough to make contact. As stated by others, the plastic cap and threads were not adequate to force the wire onto the connecting pin. The more I tightened the looser the cap became and eventually stripped. Sunvie had a nice concept but didn't put enough thought into the construction. Thin plastic cap and threads can't overcome a thick wire insulation. Sunvie's solution is to squash or flatten the wire with pliers which shouldn't be necessary for this product to work. After the first 12 attempts I started all over using silicon filled wirenuts and, while more labor intensive, the entire light project is up and running. Sunvie makes good products, but missed on the design. Make a sturdier product.

Functional Time Saver
These little connectors work great for landscape lighting. I used them for a 10 light run in my backyard and recently 2 - 12 light runs in my front yard. They work great. I have not had any issues with the backyard lighting which has been in the ground for over a year now. Note: I put a dab of liquid electric tape over the light wire connection (I do not put any on the main line connection) before burying - probably overkill.
