Real men shave with this
Affordable and super sharp. I used to use a more modern style, but now that I use this old-fashioned style razor, I cut myself way FEWER times. Shaving with this requires 1000% focus! I feel super manly after putting an insanely sharp object up against my skin every other morning. I am reminded that I am alive! Also, I liked reading about the founder’s story of this brand. The strop is good to use also, keeping the blade’s razor edge. Since I have a beard I like to regulate, this style of razor gives me a level of precision shaving that I have not had before.

Good starter blade? Works as intended.
Good starter straight edge (coming from someone with no prior straight edge or safety razor experience). Make sure to strop the blade every few uses to keep the blade sharp and do some research on how to properly strop and care for the blade. That said, it would be nice if the handle had some nonslip grips for when the handle gets wet. Be careful, this blade is sharp and can cut your hairs and hands.I'm not sure if the pictures show it, but there is a logo embossed on one edge of the blade. Not a deal breaker but mildly annoying..First few shaves will result in some knicks so make sure to use an antibiotic or topical application after.

You get what you pay for
I have yet to shave with it, so I can’t speak to the quality of shave. It’s also new, so I can’t speak to longevity. I bought this product because I’m new to straight razor shaving, and I’d rather trash a $20 dollar one than a $100 one.I like the weight of it, it’s rather heavy. Makes me feel a little more confident I won’t accidentally slash my throat while I learn the techniques. As another reviewer posted, it does NOT come shave-ready; even as a newbie I could sense that right out of the packaging. I took it to a local sharpener and for 5 bucks it’s much closer. I do feel like a part of the blade is just barely scraping against the inside of the scales (handle), so I’ll be looking to see if it wears down or nicks the blade over time. The strop included looks and feels cheap. There’s a linen side to it, which I do like and seems OK. The leather side I have zero confidence in, and went out and bought a higher quality one.All in all, you get what you pay for. I’m certain this won’t be the straight razor I use to shave with for the rest of my life, but for twenty bucks and knowing that you need to put in a little work to get it shave ready it doesn’t seem like a horrible deal.

Nice!
Actually a nice feeling razor. Kind of large, and I don’t like it when I’m trying to line up my sideburns. Perfect job for lining the neck and checks for my beard. Also, spend some time sharpening the blade, and make sure you oil your face. You could use shaving cream, but olive oil does the trick for me.

Will not take an edge.
I bought this all excited to shave with a straight razor and took it to my barber (who has been using a straight razor for over 50 years at his business and at home) and asked him to sharpen it up. Using the best-in-the-business tools, diamond sharpeners and broken-in strops, oils, everything, he said he could not get it to hold an edge. He also pointed out that quality steel has a country of origin on it, with the best being German or Spanish steel. This has no markings on it at all, and the packaging is very much made of chinesium. I would not purchase this again, and because I was outside of my return window by the time I got it back from my barber, threw it away. The strop is also trash and just as worthless as the blade. The handle was the only decent part but it's all one piece so, not worth the purchase.

Best razor I’ve ever owned.
This is a really nice straight razor. It has a beautiful wooden handle and a very nice blade. The first shave I did not strop it and the shave was... uncomfortable. Before the next shave I stropped it really well. The shave was much more comfortable and one of the best looking shaves I’ve ever gotten.

It will cut
Never had a razor like this. Got tired of disposable razors. Picked this up. Not exactly easy to learn to use. Came very sharp, which i quickly messed up the edge. But hey, i learned how to fix it. It holds an edge very well and ive become very proficient in using it. No complaints about the quality of this razor
