Beware! The descriptions on many items such as these are insufficient and often wrong. For instance this is not 6 inches as described but just over 6.5 inches but luckily it is exactly the same size as my old one so I fitted it in minutes using my existng bolts. My old knocker was brass and after only a couple of years was tarnished and very difficult to clean. But this new one is anodised gold finish which matches the other door fittings beautifully. Ignore many of the reviews on here... the product is well made and is diecast not stamped. It doesn't make much of a knock but enough and it is more for decoration but it is better than the idiots banging on the glass! I do think you need to use the bolts or screw fitting rather than rely on adhesive as with the exposure to weather it will soon loosen or someone will just wrench it off! All in all I am very satisfied with the product.

Looks amazing, 1st peel the backing tape and make room for the clips,there is a back plate to screw to door then the knocker "clips" onto back plate,really fiddly, I hooked the lower stem on 1st then,with pressure, it clips onto the top looks awesome and it's defo not going anywhere

Good quality for the price, the backing comes with a spirit level inside which was a very helpful addition

Good door knocker, nice looking value for money

Sadly, this is not fit for purpose. It looks great and there’s no denying that, it looks fabulous, but it’s lightweight construction doesn’t provide a loud enough knock, if anything it’s a tap tap at best. Hardly a brass door knocker. Yes it is very simple and fast to fit and looks great but that’s not what it was purchased for. Now that it’s stuck on the door I’m not about to pull it off and potentially damage the door until I get a replacement that works.
