Real review of the Vuebell Doorbell
I purchased this product based on the glowing reviews on Amazon and was excited to receive. As soon as I opened the package, alarms started going off. The packaging looked as if this was previously returned. The unit seems as if it's made of cheap plastic, and didn't seem durable for outside use. However, I went ahead and began installing the unit with high hopes.I followed the instructions, which were poorly written. If your wiring this unit, you'll need to short circuit your existing door bell by connecting your existing doorbell wires at the "bell". Attaching the wires was pretty simple and I thought I do a test run prior to mounting the unit permanently to my stucco house. Glad I did.I followed the instructions as well as referenced the youtube video installation video, but kept having problems syncing the unit to my iPhone/network. Just couldn't fine the unit. This works on the 2.4 GHz Band, so I made sure I was connected to the proper network. Nothing. I tried for an hour with no luck. I then contacted the company at 2:15pm. Their customer service states they are open until 5pm. I was on hold for about 5 minutes then routed to a voice mail asking me to leave my number and email address. At this point it occurred to me. I lost all doubt that this company reputable. I left a message and nothing. Never a call back and it's been about four days. However, even if they did call back, I would return this anyway. This reminds me of those cheap electronics you find at the flea market. Off brand stuff that is marketed in a way that gives you hope it would work, but we really know if never will. After realizing my mistake, I immediately licked my wounds and returned it.Because I purchased this product based on the glowing reviews, I thought I would revisit the reviews and see where I went wrong. I quickly noticed many of the reviews were within a very short time.... Sep 2017 - Nov 2017. I purchased this in Nov 2017 and thought to myself, how can so many people think this is a good product, but how can they review a product they only had for a short time? I then did a search for Vuebell and noticed previous doorbells that appear to be the same model with older reviews, not so glowing. In addition, the reviews of this product show 5 star reviews for a door transformer??? I just don't get it. How is it possible that this company is using reviews for a door transformer instead of reviews for the actual product itself? In summary, I recommend you read all the reviews here as well as look at the other Vuebell Doorbell products on Amazon and ask yourself how are these different? They look the same to me. Regardless, you'll get a better idea of how these products perform in the long term. Yes, maybe you can get this working for a short period of time, but will it last? In my opinion, you'll be lucky to get it to work at all..

Ring Ring .... Finding whose at the Door was never this easy.
First impression - Can i expect this device to deliver everything that is promised! Fixing and programming the unit was very straight forward and easy. Even a person with minimum knowledge could do the fixing and programming to WiFi etc.The ring response on the phone is pretty accurate and timely. I checked on both android and iOS. The picture quality is OK but not HD. I would have liked the speaker volume in the door bell unit to have a little more volume. But this is a minor issue.I did have a problem with connecting the vuebell to echo show. Echo show could not live show the video. However, the response of customer service and the engineering staff of Vuebell was excellent and deserves full credit. It took the team a couple of hours and promptly I got a email from them saying the issue was fixed and that EchoShow could now live show the Vuebell. Such good customer service deserves praise.Another thing I love about this tiny Door bell is, the alerts. Every time someone passes my gate, the image is stored and made available for me to view. I am told it is stored upto 7 Days which is good enough. So now I know who passed and went through my gate! It even records a few seconds video of the brief alert.I have reduced just one star for two minor concerns I have.1. The door bell chime - the one that is supplied with the Vuebell is the only one available. If we need a additional chime or if the one provided breaks, there is no replacement or purchasing availability. Vuebell needs to address this.2. No back up battery. Good if a back up power system is introduced like the ring door bell.Apart from this, everything else so far, far from excellent.I highly recommend this Door Bell.

Cheap camera, works 50% of time
I was very excited to set this camera up on my front door but Ive had nothing but problems with it out of the box. Wouldnt read the QR code on my phone to get wifi synced with the house and setup doesnt tell you that you can skip that step and use the ID number on the back instead. Finally got the camera to stream to my phone {S8+} but the audio doesnt work when someone presses the doorbell. Half of the time the camera loses internet connection and it is mounted on a wooden doorframe with a wooden door. We have a 1gbps fiber line and a $300 Asus router with all other wifi devices working fine. The auto resolution on the camera always defaults to low resolution so you can barely see anything beyond a few meters. This camera runs hot- the top of the camera is hot while in use. I have purchased 2 of these, one for my father, and we both have these problems. Dont waste your money on this cheaper camera.

See who's at your door
For the price, it's a good video door bell,, has some pro's as well as some con's so without further ado,Pro's (and this is only my opinion), it was not impossible to set up, a bit confusing yes, but after a few tries, it works as it was intended to. Even though I have it set to the least sensitive mode, if a squirrel is on my front porch, I get notified, but of course, no picture as they are gone as fast as they come. I like the idea that i can see the entire porch at one time or pan and zoom in live mode. I also can block off sections of the camera that I don't need to see (who needs to see the top of their porch)? You can choose between HD, AUTO, and SD. Take a picture and save it to your camera roll on iPhone, same for video in live mode.I did not have an existing doorbell, so I had to go to a big box store and a get a transformer and some wire to make it work, no biggie for having the system work.Cons: It took a few tries to get it to connect, was that my fault or the directions fault, hard to day. It is sensitive to movement even when set in lowest sensitivity. There is some lag time between video and audio when someone rings the bell, but I guess thats to be expected,All in all I think it's a great doorbell and I have a bit of peace of mind knowing that I can watch the front porch when someone is approaching or when someone rings the doorbell.
