Why am I only finding out about these now?
After a strap inexplicably came loose I determined I need to have some kind of locking system. I thought about locking mechanisms (button and strap attachment), and while most of them had mostly good reviews, the ones I read about sudden failure concerned me. I tried the old-school rubber washers, but they frequently popped off the button unexpectedly. These locks are inexpensive and fail-proof. With a little practice they are easy to use - put the large hole over the button and push down and back on the protruding part at the top - it pops right in. To remove, grab the two "ears" with thumb and index and lift up while you push forward - come right off. I usually keep the strap on the guitar, but I take off the lock nearest the bridge which has the cord snugly through it. The lock stays on the cord, and when I use the guitar again, and plug in the cord and attach the clip. No matter how hard I pull, I can't pull the leather strap off over the button, but I don't even think of them as locks any more. The one near the neck just stay on with the strap, and the one near the bridge I just think of as cord clip, which gets put on the guitar when I plug in, but which has the added benefit of securing the strap.

I love these. Worth every penny.
These do exactly what they say they will. They are also super cheap for what they are. I like having the cable clip on them as well. They don't work great on super shielded thick cables, but I have only come across one cable that has given me an issue with popping out of the little clip. I have them on 3 guitars that always have straps and am planning on buying even more for the rest of my guitars. As far as the security of the strap goes, I haven't knocked one off yet, and I am rough with my guitars.

Awesome strap locks
These D'Addario strap locks are a super easy way to keep your guitar strap secure. No need to mess with your guitar's hardware, which is pretty cool. They fit snugly, so you don't have to worry about your guitar taking a dive during a gig or practice. Basically, they're a simple and effective way to keep your instrument safe without modifying your guitar.

Good design for an inexpensive lock
I like these locks for my guitar straps. Keep my guitar sitting on my shoulder and not worry about it hitting the floor if the strap came off. A good investment and will buy more.

Nice item.
Customer service was great.I only got one in my first order. They sent me another pair next day. Now, I wouldn't try flinging a 2k les paul around with them. But for in home practice, they be just fine.

Interesting design, but does not fit an “oversized” guitar strap button.
Unfortunately the clip is too small to attach on “over sized” strap buttons. Like some PRS, Warmoth or Gotah buttons. Bought one for giggles, was curious about strap holder feature.
