I like Clarins products but disappointed they changed this product. Still nice but very thin consistency compared to prior version.

If you don’t like strong scents, don’t get this. It is extremely perfumed. It’s less moisturizing than I expected. For such a high price point, I have to say I’m a little disappointed. I’ve been using it under makeup but I have to put on another moisturizer with it so it’s hard to say if it’s really making any difference or not.

Hard to believe that you can get so much moisture from something that has the consistency of water. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about when they say it has a thicker consistency. It is literally like water. Not sure if they're reviewing the wrong product, or just fibbing.This essence is sort of mind blowing. As I said above, you can tell it is hydrating skin, even with the watery consistency, so that in itself is pretty impressive. It leaves my skin soft and smooth.It leaves my skin feeling like I used a resurfacing product, but without any of the harshness and without having to worry about mixing with other ingredients that may be in my other skincare products. My skin feels exfoliated and smooth, just like with a peel product or resurfacing/texture treatment. Again, impressive. All without any drying effects.It absorbs completely, leaves no type of residue or feel on the skin. My skin just soaks it up completely and feels great afterwards.I haven't had any issues with pilling when using other products afterwards.There is a very light scent that is not overpowering at all, and it dissipates almost immediately. Barely noticeable to start and completely gone at the finish.Since it is a watery consistency, you do not need to use a lot at all, so the bottle will last quite a while. For the efficacy, it is definitely worth the price. I've paid much, much more for products that haven't worked nearly as well.It really is great for mature skin, as well as sensitive skin. It is so gentle to your skin, but still so effective and nourishing.

This essence is a thin, pinkish liquid. It's light weight and not at all greasy. A small amount goes a long way. I followed the instructions and patted it gently into my skin. It absorbs quickly. It's a nice, gentle first step in a skin care routine - prepping skin for serum and cream or sunscreen. My skin felt more hydrated with just this essence, and has an improved tone.This has a sweet, fruity/berry scent. It has a gentle scent which she likes but prefers no scent. The consistency of the product is goos. It seems to nourishing and absorbs into the skin quickly leaving the skin moist. You can feel the difference immediately.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, she really is enjoy9ing using this product. She noticed that after a couple weeks she started to notice trouble areas begin to shrink away leaving her skin more supple looking. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

This essence is lightweight and absorbs well. It makes a lot of big claims about smoothing lines and plumping skin and refining pores. I'm not sure it really does any of that or how it benefits "mature skin weakened by hormonal changes." I think the main purpose of this essence is to prepare your skin for the serum and moisturizer to follow and I think it's fine for that. It layers well with my other products.I like that Clarins is making an effort to be more sustainable by using recycled and recyclable packaging and using sustainably sourced ingredients as well as being carbon neutral in 2020. I appreciate that these efforts probably cost the company more but I'm not sure that any of this or the actual product justify its hefty price tag.Aside from the cost my main issue with this product is the heavy perfumed scent. I am not someone who is sensitive to smells but this scent is a lot for me. Fortunately it doesn't last very long and applying other products over it does help.
