Will this blower work with a forced air ribbon burner on a propane forge?

Is this ac, dc, or universal motor driven?

As specified, 110-120 Volts AC-60 Cycles and draws about 250 watts when running.  works fine on my blown forge but a little noisy.

Is this thermally protected?

I do not know, maybe the seller can ask the manufacturer. However...most of these single phase induction motors (phasing capacitor should be inside casing next to motor ~24uf 250V or greater) have a thermal fuse inside the motor. Usually an SEFUSE SF129E. It will be inside woven braid silica (aka fiber glass) sleeve tightly bonded to stator windings and connected via two miniature crimps, usually open barrel. The silica sleeve and rope (1-2.5mm sleeve can be used for the rope) is usually doped with red insulating varnish like MG Chemicals 4228. The thermal fuse is a one shot. It does not reset. This is to protect the motor (stator) windings from burning out and the motor from catching on fire. Yes I have replaced them before on other blower motors but not this one so I do not know if it is there on this one. If it isn't, you can add one if you want. Follow the black mains wire to the windings (magnet wire), it goes in series between whatever winding wires are there (usually two bonded together) and the black mains. Note: the motor wire may be brown or whatever but follow whatever it is from the black mains service connection (aka hot), not the white (neutral) or green (ground). Not red or blue either. And it does not go inline with the capacitor. Note: to function properly, it must be tightly bonded (tied) next to one of the bundles of stator windings. All the winding bundles are tied in this fashion and must be for optimum performance. A $1 item (thermal fuse) that can save a $50+ motor. Unless of course you like rewinding stators? I don't! Will this work in nz at 240v dc?

no this is an ac system. you can run of a generator or a inverter, that converts dc to ac.  hope this helps....  dave m.
