Serve Their Purpose
These are NOT OSHA approved.However, if you don't need them for OSHA, they work fine for visibility and not getting cut if you brush against a rebar end. I don't know why others say they don't stay on. I used them on 1/2" rebar and they went on tight and stayed in place.

Simple, cheap and they protect you from rebar impalement.

These fit both my small diameter and my large diameter rebar garden stakes.
I had ordered another brand, which said they would fill all rebar, but they didn't stick to my smaller diameter rebar garden stakes. These fit nice and snugly on both my small diameter and my larger diameter rebar garden stakes. I had other caps, but they were in pretty poor shape after 4 years, so replaced the old ones with these. So, yes, happy with these.

Great in the garden
My wife and I are old. We don't have an electric fence around the garden, but we *do* use round steel electric fence *poles* to support the fencing that surrounds our vegetables. I was fearful that one of us would bend over carelessly and take one to the face or eye (we did have a couple of 'near misses'), or one of us would stumble and be impaled. These caps are what we needed. They are big -- I'd say the better part of 3" -- so they provide tremendous protection. And the color makes us much more aware of the poles.There's one drawback for us: They are made to grip a range of rebar sizes, not my fence posts. They are OK on my larger-diameter posts, but I need a bit of a shim (paper or thin cardboard) to make them grip the smallest posts. It's been well worth the effort.

That's it. They stay on the rebar and perfectly keep it from plunging into your torso.

NO! You'll be skewed.
Absolutely no way OSHA would allow these on vertical rebar if closely inspected. These are for visual only to look like the real thing. Good for horizontal rebar to prevent eye injury, THATS IT. You fall on this the rebar will poke through it with ease and most likely you. Plan on a fine or lawsuit if caught with these, or even worse falls on one. Get the real ones, don't take the chance.
