The recipes are pretty easy to manage even for younger kids. It's a pretty cool product. Don't use it often but it's fun when I have dinner parties.

I return my purchase because it’s not working. I follow all the instructions but it is defective it doesn’t get cold enough to make rolled ice scream

I've made homemade ice cream many different ways, but this is by far the fastest. From room temperature, the ice cream freezes in just a few minutes. It's really quick.It's so easy to use. There is only one button--on/off. You plug it in and it's ready to go in a couple of minutes. Pour in your mixture, and it should be frozen in 2-4 minutes. The texture and creaminess is superb!I am using this vegan vanilla bean ice cream recipe: 3/4 cup creamy vegan milk (oat, hazelnut, coconut, whatever), 1/4 cup olive oil. Blend for 1 minutes. Then 4 Tablespoons of sugar (I use turbinado) and blend for 1 minute. Then 8 drops of vanilla extract and a small pinch of salt (blend for 20-30 seconds, just long enough to mix in the vanilla extract.Simply pour this mixture into the pan and watch it come together. I kinda like standing over it with one of the scrapers and mixing the ice cream around as it's freezing, but you don't have to do that.I don't bother trying to make fancy rolls. I may try that at a future time....but for now I'm simply delighted with this super easy and fast way to make ice cream.Remeber to store your ice cream in a cardboard ice cream container. That will allow the container to absorb moisture when your freezer is periodically defrosting itself. I had a large Breyer's non-dairy container in my freezer that was almost finished, so I am putting my ice cream in there. But you can buy packs of 20-40 ice cream containers here on Amazon, with lids, for $15ish.Great product! Really fun! I'm so glad I ordered this!Highly Recommended!!!

I was up and running in no time (after I read the instructions and got supplies). I followed the recipe in the book, kinda. 2 cups cream, 2 cups condensed milk, 1 cup of whole milk and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I experimented with making rolls and then just made a container full of ice-cream. Very rich and sweet tasting. For me, with the above recipe, the ice-cream was way to sweet, but that’s just me. My son thought it was fantastic. Machine worked as described by the vendor and it met all my expectations, I’m happy.
