Read Write Inc My Reading & Writing Kit

I’ve tried so many options to help my child read and this curriculum is it!

This is not very sequential and the readings don't use periods at the end. As a mom who taught her three kids to read and write...I would not recommend this set. I planned on sending it back but due to the cost of shipping, I decided to let my twin granddaughters have it to play school.

Love it. Perfect for my 4 year old.

I've been using this a few weeks now with my five year old. She loves it, the lessons are bite sized and manageable for her attention span. She loves that after completion of each section she gets to put a well done sticker on the progress chart that is included in the pack. This really motivates her to do the lessons and I think encourages a natural love of learning. I'm really happy with the book layouts and content. The illustrations are fun, and there are lots of books to go through. A really great kit for any parent wanting to support early readers learning at home. I have found it has helped progress and instill more confidence in reading from using it with my child

The second kit from ReadWrite Inc. includes: - Two Blending Sounds books that are fun for kids to go through; - Five storybooks with 3 red ditties in each. Those include introductions for the parent and child; - Handwriting book linked to the content of the Blending Sounds books, encouraging children to practice writing simple words; - Poster and sticker sheet - you can stick this one in the bedroom and add stickers for the stories that your child have read. It is a lot of fun and shows them the progress they have made; - Parent handbook with detailed instructions on how to use the materials in the kit. The kit focuses on the set 1 sounds and can be used when your child knows all of them. I've purchased this for my 5-year-old while she was learning the set 2 sounds. She went through the books a few times. You can also use the third kit while your child is learning the set 2 sounds as they are not included in the green and purple level books.
