Nice little HP amp; would be better as a single unit
I love a lot of things about this unit. The volume control has a nice weighted feel to it. Lots of gain setting sound levels, and clear advice as to how to use them in concert with the volume knob. The two filter functions: I'm pretty sure the "6xx" settings improves the sound with my Sennheiser 650's (which I thought were matching... but apparently there is an actual "6XX" headphone model out there!), which was already quite warm sounding, and I'm not sure about the "X–Space" filter yet. I think I have just grown to like the feeling of the soundstage where it normally is, and disabling it makes a sort of "discombobulated" sound return to tickle my inner ear. But overall, nice design, nice sound, and makes me feel happy and excited to get back to listening to sounds at my desk.As for value for money... originally I wasn't intending to drop about as much as I had on the DAC to get a headphone amp as well, and surprised that the Signature DAC did not include an amp given it has a great big knob the same size on the front. So that was a little unexpected, I don't know what else they could have done other than maybe mention it on the DAC listing? But still, the whole stack is less that I've spent on a HP amp in the past so I'd say it's still good value and of course 200% worth it if you are just using regular wired connector output from a laptop or a typical bluetooth headset. As for versatility, having multiple inputs is good: so if you have multiple sources, you can connect one via RCAs and potentially another via the 3.5mm jack.

Great Sound, Look & Value
The Signature Zen DAC + Amp combo is a step up from the regular Zen Dac V2 which I also own. The Signature stack sounds very good, on par with similar offering from Topping for example and it looks great. With any of the Sennheiser 6 series headphones, it's a perfect match, the bass boost and 3D effects do improve the sound of the headphones. And with the power supplies & cables included in the bundle it's a great value. 2 Thumbs up !

Its worth the extra money
The zen can signature is a great piece of engineering and has a balanced output. The upgraded internals do make a difference in improving the sound. The hd6xx button and the x space are the best feature if you own the hd6xx headphones. Really open up the headphones. Very solidly built and sounds great.

Piece of junk
At first it was fantastic. Then the left channel went weak. Sent the unit to Ifi for warranty. They claim it was fine to them and sent it back to me. Now I have a piece of junk. Don't buy this thing.

Good sound but So much noise!
Bought this to run from my laptop to my PA Amplifier. Laptop has thousands of hours of music. Sound is full and crisp with great highs and lows, but there is a persistent hum that i can't remove. I am using the balanced line in and out, although have to convert to USB at computer and rca at the Amp. Any ideas appreciated! The noise is loud and always there. Moving power supplies, changing cables, rerouting, none of it changes the hum in any way.
