I love this tray and I bought it at the same time as I bought the Studio Designs Vintage Inspired drafting table. It's very sturdy and I absolutely love that the cup stays level no matter what angle your table is at. It's made of metal but it's not shiny so it doesn't detract from the vintage look of my table. The only issue I have is that the description says it fits most Studio Designs drafting tables (that are 3/4"-5/8" thick). The description of the drafting table doesn't give a measurement for its thickness so I chose to be optimistic and bought the tray anyway. Turns out the drafting table is 7/8" thick. I didn't want to give up either one so with a planer and some elbow grease from my husband, we made it fit. Now it's on there securely and it looks great. Overall I'm very happy with the tray and I can't wait to start my next art project with it.

Incredibly simple to put on my drafting table. They sent two copies of the directions, which made me laugh because they were so easy, but it was nice because that doesn't usually happen. They also sent 6 screws or bolts. It required three. I was impressed with that, too. It didn't come with a hex wrench, but I have so many of those since they come with everything else in the world. I had to put the tray on the right side (if I'm in the drivers seat), based upon where I need the table in my studio. This makes the "cup" pretty far away from me, but I don't exactly have a need for that to be close to me, yet. I can always change it. It's the simplest thing, and easiest piece of "furniture" to put together or add on that I've ever had. It does not wobble, aside from that cool "cup", which comes out as well. The holes for pens or brushes or whatever your current vice is, is a piece of foam with holes cut throughout. I will add a better photo when I get everything put in its proper place. I checked measurements on my drafting table and bought within the brand, so I knew this tray would fit. The measurements listed were a little different, but it was actually a perfect fit. Beautiful.

It was rusty. Seems nice & solid- I reached out to the company, however they never continued me back with a replacement. So, I returned to Amazon before I couldn’t. Poor quality control and poor customer service.

I bought this to use along with the glass topped SD Futura drafting table. The description stated that it fitted most tables of a certain width. Until I got it, there was no way to know whether it would fit or not. But even though I liked this product a lot, it did not fit the table I bought from the same manufacturer. The table was just a fraction thicker, with the glass on, than what the tray was meant for. I was really disappointed as it would have organized a lot of things into the tray.

Item was delivered on time and seems to be pretty sturdy. I've learned from prior online purchases in general to take photos and immediately unbox and use the question feature which is why I give this 2 stars for now because it's missing the hardware and directions.I don't intend to attach this to the glass of my table since it says it can only hold up to 25lbs so the fit seems appropriate too.. just hate that I have to return it and wait again.UPDATE: I received the replacement in a timely manner without incident. It was easy to attach and looks great.

Excellent product, super heavy duty construction. It fit on my 27 year old desk with some "assistance" from a rubber mallet but it is ON there now. My desk was a smidge too thick, by mayber a millimeter or so, but I was able to get it to give just enough to slide on. The instructions say to use a phillips head screwdriver for the retaining pressure screws, but it actually calls for (and I used) a hex wrench. It's just about half an inch shy of a true 36" length, but it still looks great!The cups on either end of it angle and move freely, the foam inserts are pretty nice, I keep a collection of colored pencils in one, have yet to fill up the other.

Love the clear glass; can use w/ light behind for tracing.Works well; nice big surface area.A bit of wk to put together but worth it.Be careful ordering accessories: ordered top piece but doesn't fit this unit.

This product is very nice and the quality is superb, installation was easy as well if the board is 5/8”.The description says it will fit 5/8” - 3/4” board thickness. The outside dimension of the channel that attaches to the board is 3/4, but; due to the gage steel used in the tray, this only left a 5/8” gap to slide over the board.I ended up cutting an extra 1/8” from the bottom of my board with a router, which made for a good fitment, just make sure you have 5/8” board before ordering, otherwise; you’re in for some carpentry work.

I measured my old second hand art desk to make sure it would fit before buying it and it did. It was easy to assemble on my own and was in great shape when it arrived.I can fit all of my artistloft markers here and some of my copic as well.The only real issue i could think of would be that since my desk isnt meant to come with this addition i had to move my side bins down and now they go past the end of my table. It doesnt bother me or get in my way, but its something to keep in mind if your art desk is anything like mine.

Purchased this art tray for my studio design futura after seeing the reviews and listing.The tray is poorly designed and the ledge was about 5mm to narrow for table end, it had to be forced on the table, which cracked and chipped my glass. It is also very heavy being made from metal and will put more stress on the glass and frame with the weight with art supplies.I can never remove this tray as the damage will be visible to my table. The tray should not be listed with pictures shown for the futura, as clear as my pictures are, the damaged caused is terrible and this desk was not cheap!The foam inserts are cheap and had to be cut to fit flush.Buy and install at your own risk.Having said this, the metal tray can be used to hold artwork in place with magnets.
