Original lens cap. Protects my camera even with lens covers. Fits tight so there will be no falling off and the thickness ensures protection and high quality.

Good scratch & impact protection for the X3's bulging fisheye lenses. Otherwise you can't safely set the camera down without being very careful with it. Or you have to put it back in the case every time, which still doesn't provide much in the way of padding.I traveled many thousands of miles (multi-mode) and this cover did not slip or come loose, and the lenses were undamaged under it. It comes off pretty easily but not so easily that it'll slip off from friction inside your camera bag. It does show salt stains from even a little salt water, but wiped clean just fine.It sort of bugs me that Insta360 doesn't provide any kind of lens cap with the X3 (just a soft case)... but this added-cost cover works, and fits exactly. So unless your X3 never goes far from home, you'll want this for moving around between capture locations.

It does what it says well. Protects my X3 lens on the go. I use this as a guide for grip when I screw on my X3 to the selfie stick on my ebike. So it has multiple purposes surprisingly. Never leave home without it.

It's good when not using the camera. It has no tether which is to be expected but i lost it already

The only question is why doesn't Insta360 include this with the camera? In my opinion it's a MUST HAVE to prevent putting the camera down on a surface and marring the lenses. Works great though. Much better than the sleeve they provide with the cameras.

Once your lens gets scratched, your camera is worthless. But, what if there is something inside this boot cover. Especially around sand or windy days. I always blow inside to make sure everything is clear, then I use a lens cloth, drape it over the two sides of the camera and slide the boot over the camera. slides on easy, and even moisture from my breath or any debris is not going to hurt your camera.Very handing when you have your camera out, getting the settings ready without exposing your lens to bumping or scratching against any service. And it's safe to lay your camera down on a table while this cover is on your camera. Like I said, "a must have".
