DAUUUUM!!! These are awesome...
I finally got around to setting up our ping pong table in the basement after moving in a few years ago!! Now that my kids are older we've been spending alot of time playing ping pong in the basement.. Before we were just playing with the paddles that came with the table and I went to Walmart and bought their best paddle they had on the shelf. But I thought there has to be better paddles than this!!! After going through a dozen or so paddle reviews on Amazon, I finally decided on these!!!I am so glad I went with these. I was very impressed with the packaging and it was nice that they came with a case and extra rubber. Not only do these look bad a$$ in the white! (Not your typical red and black sided paddle) instantly you can totally feel the difference in control in these compared to my other paddle. If I am ever in the market again for paddles I would buys these hands down.

Good
The paddle (5-star) is a little heavier than what I'm used to. Wish I had started with the lighter one instead but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. I like the unconventional curved handle which is shaped to fit comfortably in the hand. The paddle gives a good bounce and it's easy to deliver a spin. The beige colored surface of the sponge looks nice but gets dirty easily. Comes with a lovely case.

I liked the 6-star paddle... a lot!
I just used the 6-star paddle for the first time tonight. I'm very pleased with the performance of the paddle. Less pleased with my own performance. After all, a fine paddle is only as good as the player wielding it!I liked the paddle because I have a strong topspin attack, both forehand and backhand, and I quickly felt that I had better control than before.A key component of success in table tennis is confidence in one's ability to execute a shot. The 6-star quickly gave me that great feeling!I'm a good player -- I'd probably be a 1300- or 1400-level player. But nobody's perfect. The three areas of my game that require the most improvement are as follows: (1) return of serve, (2) shot selection, and (3) execution of the selected shot.I know, I know... that would seem to suggest that I have no strong points! Not at all! I'm actually pretty good at setting up my opponent for a generally effective kill shot. So, by "shot selection," I mean: If I HAVEN'T set up my opponent as effectively as I could have, I tend to try to execute the kill anyway. That's just me being dumb, not the fault of the paddle at all! So: I need to play smarter, plainly. However, when I DO force a defensive reply to a shot of mine, and I HAVE set my opponent up for a kill, I then execute that kill far too inconsistently. With the 6-star paddle, I noticed that I was executing my winners better and my confidence was greatly improved as a result. A double win! THAT was thanks to the 6-star paddle, which gripped the ball just that much better, so that my hard topspin forehands and backhands -- my bread and butter! -- were now finding the table, instead of sailing long.As I mentioned, the paddle is a bit grippier than the already grippy one I was using, so I was able to counter spinny serves more effectively, simply by cancelling the serve's spin, and imparting my own... or at worst hitting a knuckle ball back. For me, that was another BIG plus for the paddle. No review of this paddle would be complete without mentioning the unusual handle. The handle is curved, so that it fits comfortably in your hand one way. It ALSO automatically changes the horizontal angle at which the paddle attacks the oncoming ball. That angle, with respect to the floor is closer to parallel, and that requires some adjustment. I made that adjustment almost immediately, so it's not that big a deal. It DOES mean that your reach will be slightly longer automatically, which is pretty good for me. I'm 6'4" tall and have really good reflexes, but I'm by no means quick. Hence, my really long wingspan is an important tool for me. The additional reach will be come in quite handy. One potential downside of this very comfortable handle will be for the twiddlers among us. (Those who flip forehand and backhand sides mid-rally) I'm not one of them, so this had no impact on my game. Furthermore, I haven't seen or played against anyone for whom twiddling is an important weapon in his or her arsenal. But, if twiddling is important to you, this might not be your paddle. The bottom line is that the fundamental areas of my game that most needed improvement DID improve when using the 6-star paddle! So, I'm giving this paddle high marks, and looking forward to using it more in the coming weeks and months.
