NKJV, Holy Bible for Kids, Verse Art Cover Collection, Leathersoft, Gray, Comfort Print: Holy Bible, New King James Version

I don’t own a lot of bibles but this is for sure the nicest one I have seen or used. The goatskin leather cover is so soft and enjoyable to hold and smells terrific. It is so soft in fact that it lays open flat on a table without the cover wanting to close. The center cross reference is also a joy to use because you notice it more in that location and it makes me use it more. The paper used is very nice and it makes the typeface pop off the page as if the words are floating on the page. The maps in the back are thick and colorful with a glossy finish. There are three ribbons in this NKJV bible, two black and one red which come in handy. I am very impressed with the quality of this Thomas Nelson bible and would highly recommend to anyone.

At the $30 price point, this is an excellent bible. I discuss some key points below.First, the cover. The Leathersoft cover is soft and feels great in my hands. It seems to be much more durable than a bonded leather cover, which also tends to be stiff, shiny, and cheap looking. I would even say that the cover looks and feels much nicer than most genuine leather bibles I've owned. It's a little stiffer than a calfskin or goatskin cover, but I actually prefer that, so this is pretty much the perfect cover for a bible, IMO.The paper is excellent quality. It is just the right thickness and consistency. There is very little bleed, and with the line-matching, you don't really notice any unless you are looking for it. The paper thickness gives some heft to the bible, which is actually nice. Since it is God's word, I think it makes sense for it to feel heavy in my hands, as it contains very much weighty truth.The typeface and font size are perfect for my 50 something eyesight. The single column format makes it easy to read. I don't think the red superscripts are a problem, as others have mentioned, but I do understand how some people might not like them. The references and notes in the margin are small and could be hard to read for some people.The bible actually smells quite nice. I've seen others saying how it has a strange smell or an offensive smell, but I don't agree with that. We all experience odors differently, so some might find it unpleasant, but I actually think it is a nice combination of scents, from the cover to the paper to the ink.The NKJV text is the NKJV text. If you prefer a different translation, this is not the bible for you, so I'm not going to address that here. The cross references are pretty good, although, as usual, I find that some of them are incorrect, IMHO. Not a big deal, though. It's nice to have them as a quick reference to other passages that are or might be related.The concordance is a handy addition, but not comprehensive. Better some some concordances I've seen in reference bibles, though. The one-year reading plan is unnecessary, IMO, but whatever. The color maps are nice, but a little small, given the dimensions of the bible.Finally, the size of the bible is nice, but if there is one criticism I might make, it would be in this area. I think making the bible a little wider and thinner would be preferrable to making it narrower and thicker, as they have done. Not a deal breaker by any stretch of the imagination; just a preference for me. I'd like to see some more words on each page and it would also make the maps more functional. But like I said, no big deal.All-in-all, this is a great bible at a great price with really nice features. If you're looking for a full featured, large print, NKJV that will be with you for years to come, I think you've found your bible.

Was very impressed with the looks and easy of reading. I bought this for my 9yr old son. It has maps, and pictures of Jerusalem. We have the KJV and it was very hard for him to understand. This is super easy and very well explained. If you are looking for a kids bible I highly recommend

So. I’ll say up front that my copy arrived with a small imperfection. The art gilded page edges had a small section that was missing. That said, I just can’t bring myself to be upset about it. The Bible is so well and beautifully constructed that this small “flaw” comes across as a mark of character. The leather is the highest quality goatskin I have ever seen, and I have owned a few Cambridge editions. The edge-lined, synth sewn construction, and good quality, high-density paper with clear, readable and line-matched print make it very durable and a joy to read. Aesthetically it is beautiful. It is a joy to hold, lays flat for easy reading. Overall, for the steal of a price that I got this copy for, or even for full price, this is an heirloom quality Bible that I am certain will be a blessing. I am grateful for it.

My wife got me this for Christmas. I just am blown away. Im a daily reader in the word. I have looked for a good Bible, searching in half priced. And I always get a new one, which sounds kinda bad, but its because I never find that perfect one then I end up goving away the ones I bought.This one, perfect. The font, so easy to read. Its not a 4 pound book like study books. No clutter. There are also the fine details like, verse numbers in red, which makes it that much easier to read. The spacing from the text to the center column is enough so that it doesnt feel cramped and is hardly even noticable that there is a center column. 3 ribbons, what more can you ask for? I was doing three Bible studies, and it made it great to track them.I would get this in a heartbeat, and if I see someone that is really seeking the word, I would be apt to want to get them this one too. If you want a great gift for yhe husband, its so nice.

I wanted a bible that was thinner, but that being said, the pages are reallllly thin, which was expected. Not sure highlighting it or writing in it would be a good idea.

Purchased this for a gift. It’s beautifully made and soft and flexible. The receiver was thrilled! We’ll worth the money!

Great for those who need somewhat larger print. The translation makes it easy to comprehend and follow. Excellent for those that are new to The Word!

For less than $20, this was the Word, just as it is - no commentary, very little "extras". I find it's a great bible to carry to/from a worship service, where the pastor just reads a blurb and then comments on it. No muss, no fuss.I very much appreciate the few extras that it does come with though - at the back, they list:- "30 days with Jesus" (various verses to meditate on),- all the miracles of Jesus (and in which of the gospel's they're found),- all the parables (and in which of the gospel's they're found),- all of the prophecies fulfilled (and in which books they are originally found),- various prayers that are found within the bible,- a small dictionary / concordance / abbreviations of the books.

A letra é um tamanho pequeno para quem dificuldade de ler, entretanto é possível usá-la tranquilamente, ela é mais bonita do quê eu imaginei. Vale a pena comprar sem contar que chegou bem antes do dia previsto.
