Works like it’s supposed to
Works like it should. Best advice for beginner solar folks is make sure you pay attention to your numbers with voltage, amps, and what exactly your controller is able to handle. I didn’t do that and fried two of these so far and recently figured out why which is why I bought this set up. But after realizing my mistake and splitting up my solar panels into two separate controllers they seem to be doing a lot better and the wires aren’t getting hot like before. And two controllers for $15 bucks you just can’t beat it. Hopefully soon here I’ll get to the point where I can feel comfortable enough in purchasing an expensive controller so I can both add to the solar panels and my battery bank and get to the point where I can power my whole house with my system. Hope this helps

One controller stopped working after a few months, check the warranty
One controller stopped working after a few months. I have over 19 volts from the solar panel, but controller is not charging. Contacted the seller and was offered a 25% refund. I went to public school and was taught 1/2 is 50%. The other controller is working fine.

Work fine but cause RF noise
I like the controller because it works as it should. Nice small size. Easy to setup and connect wires. If that's all you want then it's OK. The reason for only 3 stars is it causes RF noise on my Ham radio 40 and 80 meter bands. I reduced some noise by adding a 330uf capacitor across the battery output connections at the controller. I also wanted digital meters on the solar panel input side to watch the input voltage. The external volt meters looked great for a few minutes and did exactly what I wanted. The digital meters only worked until the sun came up and the controller started higher current charging. The pulse spikes from the controller burned out the very small digital meters I had connected. Actually smoked the meters. Controller works fine but RF noise is unacceptable.

Works just fine!
The cheap, they do what they say, and the only time I have problems is if you hook them up in properly and burn them out. Thanks guys! They work great.

You get your money's worth.
These charges controllers are great for instances where your system is mostly inside out of the elements. They do not last long in the rain. I bought them for experimental purposes and they were great for that but I would not choose these to wire up a solar array that I depended on. Maybe as a backup. I don't want to discourage anyone from buying this model. It has its place. I just think prospective buyers should know what they are getting into. 5 stars for value. 2 stars for quality.

Defective, but not in the normal way
One of these controllers was defective, but partly worked - Hmmm, a digital device that was acting like analog??? It appeared to measure nighttime correctly, but never triggered the light circuit. So, I scrapped the project I was working on and moved on putting the Controller in stock. Well, 4 mo later, I had a 5 year old controller fail. So, I pulled this thing out of stock and put it in use. This time, it exhibited two illogical issues: 1. It would run for 7 hours and then shut off. Only it would come back on in the AM as if the timer was never set. 2. It would now also, not sense darkness like before and it killed three parallel controllers on the same system - DEFECTIVE wierdly, not digitally. SO, I am throwing it away and ordering a stock replacement. This $8 item cost me two weeks of testing, and 4 days of 'normal' use before I understood the failure.

Junk! Better to have one good controller than two that don't work!
Shake the dice! Feel lucky? Sure there are a number of good reviews, but read the negative reviews carefully! So here goes: Unable to set the parameters as both controllers loop back to where you started! Instructions don't match the display face or panel. Over voltage parameter will have my 12v battery blow up! I have controllers from other companies and never had a problem, so I know how to hook these up and know what I'm doing! And what's worse, I now have to spend $20 in gas to return two defective items to get my $16 back! It's now the principle. If I do nothing, they get away with selling their defective junk! They're going back! You've been warned. Hope this helps, -Mike

Works fine, compact.

Ottimo prezzo
Per poche pretese, ma fa' il suo lavoro. Prima cosa collegate la batteria ( vale x tutti i regolatori di carica) o rischiate di danneggiarlo

Works great
Works perfect for my small 475 watt array and 8 battery bank. I am pushing it because I am over 75% of its rating on a clear day but my battery bank. Only once was the battery bank low and was taking a full draw from my panels. The charge controller was very warm as were the input wires from the array but it took it and continues to work.
