I tried to untwist and straighten some Cat6 with this ‘tool’. I am a professional AV engineer with much experience with this type of cable. This tool wouldn’t even adequately grip the cable wires, let alone untwist, or straighten properly once I had manually untwisted by hand.

it works, but not great. you have to be really careful on where you place the wire between the "dots" in between, or it will scrap and shred the insulation. i'm gonna go back to squeezing the piece of outer sheath and pulling. that works consistantly and safely, and you have an unlimited supply of them.
