Amazon Basics Extra Comfort Mint Dental Floss, 40 M, 1 Pack

This floss from Amazon Basics is the ideal replacement for the discontinued Original Glide.Years ago, Oral B (owned by Gillette) bought out Glide floss from the original manufacturers, and for many years I could count on getting this same great floss which Oral B called “Original Glide”. It was the first floss made with Gore Tex (PTFE) and it was the smoothest floss to get between the teeth. Alas, this original product is now discontinued, and has been replaced by a cheap inferior filament floss called “Healthy Gums”…with the word “Glide” now in small letters. This Oral B replacement for the Original Floss not only does NOT glide between the teeth, it sticks and pulls and leads you to worry that it might actually pull out a tooth. Plus, it curls up like a Christmas tree decoration so it’s hard to even maneuver. Fortunately, Amazon Basics makes this wonderful PTFE floss. It’s the best floss you can get nowadays. Doesn’t curl up. Super comfortable sliding between the teeth. Highly recommended. My new staple for daily tooth care.

So glad I tried this - I was in search of a new floss since Oral B changed their flosses to "micro texture" - which is very harsh on the gums and has the consistency of the plastic grass found in Easter baskets.

Not AS soft as the original Glide floss that’s been discontinued but pretty dang close. I knocked off a star because the first one I got out of the pack was looped around the spool and tangled preventing it from rolling out until I redid it… I felt like I was untangling fishing line.

The Good Stuff. This is like the original Glide before they ruined it. It is not quite as wide as the original Glide, but it is close enough. Don’t buy the Glide Oral B brand. They changed it. It is terrible now. Not slippery like it used to be, like this Amazon brand. It has no wax and is like plastic, or as others have described Easter basket grass. Thank goodness Amazon has this. Highly recommend.

I recently purchased another brand and iiit was horrible. So, I’m decided to give it try, SO GLAD I DID! The Amazon brand is wonderful. I highly recommend.

I regret this purchase. Please don't be like me and think because it looks similar to other glide-type flosses that it will be ok.It leaves was on my teeth. I have to waste extra length because it's so slick you can't hold it without wrapping it at least 3 times around a finger on each hand. Just all around unpleasant experience.And fool me, I bought multiple containers thinking I'd found something good we could use. I don't usually have problems with Amazon branded products, but this one is awful.

Not the best in terms of dental floss. It brakes easily and falls apart.
