Gaps & Cracks 24 oz Complete Kit – 12-Pack Foam Sealant with AWF PRO 8 in Professional Spray Foam Gun & 2 Cans of Great Stuff Pro Cleaner

I purchased a modest, relatively small (400 gal, "6-seats" but really 4) hot tub and installed it on my upper deck earlier this year, a big project both requiring substantial strengthening of the deck itself and then significant improved insulation for the tub itself, including panels beneath the deck where the tub sits, panels inside the spa cabinet, and foam for inside the base and coating the tub seats within the cabinet. I ordered this spray foam for the latter (base and seats). I used every can of it but was also able to install a nice 3" insulated floor and a good 2" shell around the seats within the cabinet. It took a little patience, as I had to put just a bit at a time in a given spot, especially on vertical or partially inverted surfaces. Then, as the foam dried and left something to "bite," I could come back and add more and thicker quantities at a time. I can tell that the tub is now MUCH more efficient at both heating and retaining heat than how it originally came, almost completely uninsulated. Separately, I added 1" foam sheet insulation to the cabinet walls and more 1" foam sheets to the underside of the deck and both of those helped as well. In the process I learned the following: SHAKE THE CANS VIGOROUSLY FOR AT LEAST A MINUTE, IF NOT MORE. That makes a huge difference in expansion and getting most from each can. Spray with the can nozzle pointing down, so all the goo finds its way out. Don't do too much at a time, or the weight of added foam will collapse the lower layers. Keep a towel or sheet of wood or cardboard beside your work space to divert any messes while in-process, as well as a can of acetone & paper towels to clean up and keep the tip of your sprayer clean. Good stuff!

I have been using this stuff for about 15 years. During covid locally ,the sources dried up ,so I was very pleased to find it at AMAZON. BECAUSE THIS IS REQUIRED BY CODE I was using the smaller cans which don't go nearly as far, it is distortions how much further this stuff goes. It was very convenient to get the foam gun ,and cleaner in one box. This is easy to use but a couple things to remember, it is best to do it all once as not to waste cleaner, keep the product warm but not hot,and before using shake the can vigorously. Obviously cleaning the gun is super important.

Originally got it to fill some large gaps. I even ended up using it to fill a whole bay of a wall I had to fix. Easier than using fiberglass. I'm happy with how it came out.

Couple tips if you're use to using larger canisters of closed cell insulation. The first few cans didn't have the psi I'm use to. Only about 10% would stick to the wall. Wouldn't be a huge deal but some of the area I was filling was a little far. Thought I'd try putting them under a little more heat. Put them about two feet from a small 1,000 watt heater for 45 minutes. BTW I had them in a room at 70F before this for a couple nights. It wasn't enough. Heating these up seemed to do the trick. The increased heat gave it the extra psi to hit hard enough and stick. You'll still have to plan a little more if you're use to larger canister type sprays. Inly about half the can will have a fair amount of pressure. The rest you'll need to put directly on. It's possible I could have just heated them up more. I wasn't sure how much was to much. For the R and sf, I think it's a pretty good deal. Also. I had no problem with anything clogging. I went through 12 cans in a row and had no problems at all. I'm guessing the people who had problems, probably didn't read the directions about how to change cans correctly.

I bought this kit to seal the edges of sheet foam between studs in my workshop, as well as seal gaps in my drafty basement. I was a bit skeptical about how much I would get out of the kit...seemed like not much, but I was dead wrong. I did my entire 400 s.f. garage (10' high walls) with 3 cans. I also used 3 cans of the regular big box store stuff and I estimate that all 3 cans of the "non-pro" are the equivalent of around 1/3 of a can of the pro. It also sticks to horizontal surfaces much better than the regular stuff. If you look around my garage all of the drips and dribbles are from the regular stuff not the pro foam. Easy to clean with included cleaning solvent. Easy to use. You have a lot of control over how much comes out and you can vary the speed you move the gun as well. Highly recommend this product.

This stuff is great! I will never by the old fashion great stuff or any thing brand for filling gaps. This is so precise, easy to use comfortable to hold. You don’t they product on your hands any more. Love it. Also, very easy to clean up. I was a little worried about that. I have used this several times and it cleans up easy and is ready to reuse the next time.

This spray works well, the quality is good for your money.

Product is ok. You can’t remove the can from the gun once installed on the gun. If you only use a partial amount of can then remove from gun it leaks out the top. You will have a statue of foam that leaks out of the can until empty or aerosol runs out. Huge waste…unless you use the whole can
