The sensor works just fine. BUT you have to have a hub to make it work and I tried both Tapo hubs which absolutely, totally do not work with my particular (very secure) wireless network. Tapo treat hubs as a bit of an afterthought, so I suggest avoiding ANY tapo product that relies on one. Returned for refund.

Absolute Garbage, pull the strip to activate, flashes green then stops, try to pair through the app, and the app says it should flash orange.. called support who was more interested in what country I was calling from, then put me on hold while he loaded up "All the details so he could help me", after a few minutes came back and told me someone would ring me within 24 hours. ebent the app s crap, you choose the item you have the T100 and then it shows a completely different product

I purchased the Tapo Hub, motion sensor and 2 light strips. All I want to do Is setup an automation whereby when it gets dark and someone walks in the kitchen the light strips come on and then go off 2 minutes after last detected motion. Tapo's software is hideously unintuitive. I've been at this now for hours and still no closer to creating an automation/routine to do this. It really is simply terrible and I'm seriously regretting investing in the Tapo ecosystem

Unreliable. Work sometimes, don't others or very delayed. Installed in a house with mesh WiFi so signal not an issue. Pretty pointless really.

The batter insulation tab has been removed before I unboxed the item. I tried to activate the sensor but failed. Meanwhile, the 3M tape was not in the box. That means I couldn't stick it on the wall. I replaced the battery and tried to reset it but it didn’t work. That means it’s a defective product. I suspect that this item has been used or opened before delivery. As a customer, I am completely disappointed.

Setting the sensitivity in the app won't matter, some days it works, others you can dance a jig in front of it and it won't notice you. Can't really recommend it if you want a motion sensor. One job, that's all I'm saying.

I have a lot of Tapo devices and they all work well - except for this. No idea if it is a problem with the individual unit or with the performance. I have returned it.

Returned immediately! The item was obviously second hand. No plastic strip to isolate the battery and no cover on the sticker. What's worse is the sticker still had remnants of someone's paint and plaster attached! Paid for a new item not someone else's tat!

I do rate Tapo kit, and these senses are invaluable. Pretty sure they don’t need to be so expensive though.
