Bartow Tobacco Cloth Bleached White, Fabric by the Yard

I used this material to make a cold coffee brewing bag for a fraction of the cost. I bought 1 yard and made two double layered bags. There are absolutely no grounds that escaped. So I do not need to worry about buying expensive and messy paper filters. If you are wanting to cold brew your own coffee, save yourself some money and make your own bucket and filters. The prices for those kits are absolutely crazy for what you are getting.

The weight is just right.

This fabric was perfect for what I was looking for - curtains for our bedroom. I wanted something primitive looking and not paying a big price and this material fit into both of those! It is lightweight and was easy to work with.

Will purchase again in the future

Most descriptions of tobacco cloth I've read were that it's light and airy, as it's used to cover tobacco plants while they're growing. A lot of websites compared it to cheesecloth. The fabric I received is incredibly stiff and much heavier than expected. I tried washing it to see if it would soften up, but it didn't make any difference. I can't use this for my project. I wouldn't even want to use it to cover plants, as it's too stiff to drape properly. Very disappointed.
