This pillow is the ideal size for a child, but I bought for my short adult self.I place it atop my regular pillow, and use it resting against the headboard for reading in bed.It is remarkably comfortable.The back of the pillow is just the right height for me to rest my head at its top.I don't use the armrests as such, but they give the pillow a cozy feel and help keep the pillow balanced.The shredded foam is soft with plenty of give, unlike formed pillows, which I find too rigid to be comfortable. Even though the contents are soft and "fluid," the pillow keeps its shape.The pillow has a removable outer cover of soft velvety fabric. It zips off for machine washing. The cover is well-fitted, its zipper lines up perfectly at the base of the pillow for easy removal.There are extra covers available from the company as well.I've been using reading pillows for years.They vary greatly in size, shape and quality.This one is among the best, and at the time of this review, the price is reasonable.

This is a great reading bolster that is comfortable, supportive for the back, attractive and, importantly, washable. The reviews that said it worked well for adults were correct (I am small to medium size), although I do add the bed pillow to give extra depth. I wish this exact pillow came in a very sightly larger size but I am very happy using it as it is.

This is a lot smaller than I expected but it is good quality so far.

I got this for my son since I have the adult version & he always wants to use it. He loves that he now has his own & it's just like Momma's. He uses it every night when we read books & occasionally falls asleep on it. Super soft, supportive, & the best part... easy to clean!!

My 13 year old is about the size of a 10-11 year old and it fits her perfect. Too small for me to feel cozy with it, but, I do fit okay. I am 5'6." It's cute and the gray color is nice. I personally think it's a nice size for tweens but certainly not large adults.

this back pillow has changed the overall comfort level of my bed. it is such a joy to lay on and even look at! the spruce color is so peaceful and serene. I adore it, nuff said.

I liked the product, but it has a serious caution which the buyer should be aware of and should have beenI initially rated the product highly. However, I just read the caution included in the product literature but not mentioned in the on line description. Since this reading pillow is meant for children I feel compelled to provide the caution which you don't see until you receive the product: "Polyurethane foam is flammable! Once ignited polyurethane products will burn rapidly, releasing intense heat and consuming a great deal of oxygen, which can cause serious injury, suffocation and or death to nearby occupants. Please follow standard fire safety precautions and never expose this pillow ...to open flames or direct or indirect ignition sources, such as cigarettes, unscreened fireplaces, space heaters, lighted candles or open incandescent bulbs."

I really liked this pillow, but it was too small for me. I am only 4' 11" and I found it too tiny for me~~the small size in the adult pillow would be more adequate~~it's important with a bad back to have the arms go all around you.....I will order another one.

It’s very small, there was one reviewer that said that they were 5 foot 2 and it worked for them but my son is only six years old and it’s too small for him. The back has puffed up nicely but the arms are pretty floppy.

I thought it would be sturdier.

exactly what I ordered! very soft. took a day to fluff up after delivery but now just a quick shake to fluff back up.I bought two!I love it! it's the perfect size for me as I use it as a support when I am doing crafting and painting.For my mother, she likes it but she would have preferred a larger one that had a bigger arms.

The pillow is great for my elderly mother to read in bed. The arms are a little flimsy, but the back rest is great.
