I love this tea kettle. My girlfriend drinks tea every day so I bought this to make it easier for me to make her tea.

Was a Christmas gift and only used for a few months and the tea kettle started emitting a strong burning plastic type smell when heating up. The smell seemed to permeate into the water after awhile. Contacted the company for repair or replacement information but they did not respond. Cannot recommend. Seems like this appliance should last much longer with such little use.

I loved this teapot but it burned out or shorted out after a couple months. Cannot be used any other way because bottom is plastic.

When it works, it’s great. But I purchased this not even a year ago and for the last month, when we press the button to turn it on it doesn’t actually heat up. After some time, we release the button and repress it and it usually works. Something is faulty, it is only used sporadically until lately when our family was sick and drinking more tea than usual. Would not purchase again for this reason.

Quit after working for 3 months. Also, for those that have a challenge with heavier objects or are frail might have a difficult time lifting it as it is on the heavier side.

It worked great, while it lasted, which wasn't long.In less than a year- possibly within 6 months, the plastic base somehow started melting with regular, daily usage. I believe something electrical went wrong with it, as is sometimes won't turn on without a bit of fiddling. It's a shame, because it really is a beautiful little kettle.
