Used one for eight years. Bought another.
Buy this. It does stairs, your pet cover over bed, laundry, blankies, around feeding station, everywhere dog hair makes you crazy. NO OTHER VACUUM comes close because it has rubber bristles.

Compact, surprisingly powerful, and simple to disassemble and clean.
The media could not be loaded. I have four dogs who shed their coats in a way that I can only describe as “sadistically.” I use a heavy-duty vacuum for my floors, but needed something to quickly and easily whip out for daily couch cleanings. Most handheld vacuums either struggle to pick up hair, feature a roller brush that jams, or are prohibitively expensive, but this one does the trick at an affordable price. It does still have a roller brush, but it’s made from some sort of thick rubber or silicone or something, which makes it malleable enough to easily untangle any long fabric threads that occasionally wrap around it; and keeps it simple enough to just rinse in the sink to clean it.The brush combined with the suction power provides a very satisfying feeling of actually physically picking up dirt, debris, and fur—stellar feedback. The battery isn’t an issue since I use it sporadically, so I’m not sure what you can expect if intending to use it for long sessions. But for me, after probably 20 minutes of cumulative use over the weeks, it’s still working strong off the initial charge. The capacity of the detachable bin leaves a bit to be desired, but it isn’t bad, and the fact that you just pop it off, shake it out, and pop it back on negates a lot of the drawback from the small size.Time will tell how long the brush/bristles and filters last. So far it seems promising and I’m not particularly worried about it.Very pleased with this vacuum so far. Best handheld pet vac for the price range I’ve ever bought.

Handy and versatile
I bought this handheld Black and Decker vac for its advertised pet power. It is very good with pet hair--picking it up and not getting impossibly tangled. I like that it seems to have good battery life. Seems substantial and fairly rugged. The spinner head is very good and it has the best suction with this self-powered attachment installed. The suction is somewhat lacking when using just the bare nozzle or small brush attachment. The nozzle and dirt chamber are one unit that detaches from the vac for emptying. That unit can be a little tricky to reconnect to the vac and if not snapped on just right, it can pop off unexpectedly.Overall, the vac is a good value and I use it frequently to vac my stairs, which it does quite well with the powered cleaning head installed.

Awful, just awful. On so many levels.
I hated this vacuum. Like, hated it with a fiery passion.First off, it's SO loud that it terrified my pets. I wouldn't use it if the windows were open, or if it was late enough that my neighbors were sleeping, because I was afraid it'd wake them. I have a full sized canister vacuum. This small handheld is at least 10x as loud as my canister on the canister's highest setting. The suction sucks. And not in a good way. There's no suction setting, no way to increase the suction. You get what you get. I had a small - maybe 2 x 1 inch - spider web in the corner of the track of a window. A small dry sage leaf was caught in the web. I extended the 'nose' of the vacuum, so it'd be easier to maneuver it into the corner. The vacuum didn't have enough suction to suck up the web and dried leaf from 1/2 an inch away. The vacuum won't suck anything caught in the brush attachment into the interior of the vacuum, either. Given that it's advertised as being good for pet hair, and that the brush attachment is the logical choice when vacuuming pet hair out of the creases and edges of furniture, that anything that gets stuck in the brush has to be cleared out by hand is a problem. Because ALL the pet hair gets stuck in the brush. This vacuum is heavy, especially for a handheld. If it was uniformly heavy, that'd be one thing. But it's not. All the weight is in the bottom. When using it, the heavy bottom has to be held perpendicular to the floor or higher than the suction tube, depending on what you're vacuuming, so all that weight is dragging on your wrist as you fight against gravity to keep the butt aloft. Not only is it tiring, it makes maneuvering the much lighter suction end with any finesse difficult. The suction end telescopes; it can be pulled out about six inches. If it's pulled out to maximum extension, it gets kind of stuck. The 'nose' doesn't withdraw to the shorter length easily. Twice I've had to push on the end of the nose to get it to go back to original position. Both times, the mechanism went from stuck to fully withdrawn so quickly that the edge of my palm got caught between the nose and the body of the vacuum, pinching the skin with such force that it cut my hand. The vacuum only runs for about 20 minutes on one charge. My last hand vac ran for about 45 before the battery depleted. If you're using this to vacuum the creases of a car and underneath the seats, or you're doing all the floor, cabinet, and furniture corners in the house, 20 minutes of operation won't get the job done. Having to stop part way through to let the battery charge for a few hours is annoying and inconvenient. All in all, the only thing I liked about this vacuum was the color. Works great for pet hair!!!
FANTASTIC! We got the pet version of this, as we have 2 large dogs that shed. This worked better in my car than the vacuums at the car wash, and it’s portable and easy to take along. Great purchase!

Not very effective on cat hair on fabric.
If you are just wanting a dustbuster this will do. This vacum does not do well with cat hair on furniture. There is not enough suction.

Thumbs Up
I bought this to be able to vacuum out my car when I wanted too easily...I absolutely love this...It charges quick, easy to clean it out, and has powerful suction...Not only do i use it for my car, but I use it to vacuum under my couch cushions and my area rug...3 dogs..It cleaned everything wonderfully.

Great decision to get this
Bought this because I have 2 pugs and one sheds more than the other. I love the way it is easy to use on my sectional during the week. It works great on getting the hair. I’ve let my neighbor use it on her sectional and she loves it because she has a dog and a soon to be 3 year old.
