Well built and functional. I only have a few minor complaints after using it. I do wish you could adjust the width between the two aligator clips. For real small gauge wire (22+) ... it'd be nice to get it closer. Also, the thumbscrews are pretty dog gone tight ... and small. So someone like me with deterity problems ... I need to get tools to actually adjust some of them. Another minor ... the aligator clips can come real close to chewing through thin gauge wire jacket. Otherwise ... the thing is built well .. very flexible ... and does the job. Good deal for the price.

Actually better than I expected for price!It is small, but the base is heavier than expected and it works great.Already assembled.I suppose if you're a man or hard on things, you might find it subpar like other reviewers, but I find it fully functional for my beading and jewelry making purposes.

I needed to do one solder, so this definitely worked for my use case. The inconsistent heat and limited battery life would make this tricky to use as a daily driver.That said, USB C and battery powered makes it convenient and easy to use.

This product exceeded my expectations. Judging from the low price and some of the negative reviews, I was expecting a poorly built, low quality product. I figured that it was worth taking a look at it and if I didn't like the product I would return it. But mine looked great coming out of the box. There were no quality issues and it appears to be fairly sturdy and well designed.I think any problems I will have using this for my soldering project will be more related to my skill level rather than the utility of this product.

Don't get me wrong, this is decent product, it is what it is as advertized but the reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is because after opening the package and taking one look at the cast metal base on this thing I felt immediately compelled to stencil the footprint onto 8th inch rubber sheet, cutout then glue it as a non-slip/protective layer to the bottom of the base, because it seemed logicaly, probably the way it should have been done "Um...Hello!?" So I did that... then, about a half hour later I went to Harbor Freight where I saw the exact same product as this, with 8th inch protective rubber footing already on it's base, in every aspect, identical to the one I'd just got done with, for less than half the price I'd paid for this one to boot. I'm not making this up, it was all I could do not to drop the f-bomb in the middle of a crowded store. Instead I've chosen channeled that energy into this review, hopefully winding up with a much more positive effect than if I'd chosen to act on my first thought.

Works great. Holds very small wires or parts and the magnifier works great seeing very small details. Quick and easy assembly. Heavy so it doesn't fall over easily and nice adjustable clamps.

The magnifying ability of this unit really helps when I'm tinkering with very small items. The clamps provide that extra third-hand to hold small items. The magnifying lens is large and powerful enough. It has wing-nut adjustable ability on the base, the holding rod and magnifying lens allows it to be configured just about any angle needed. Cost of the unit is very reasonable. I consider this a GOOD BUY!
