Good Distubution Amp
Okay I have a rather complex setup, I will try and make this short. I have been old school audio for years, my issue was I wanted to record from my turntable to my computer, and needed the output to still go to my Receiver, with this baby I can run the Tape output loop in to this baby and the I have 4 outputs, 1 to my computer, 1 back to the Receiver tape loop and I have 2 open to do as I please.Allot of reviews say this thing produces hum, and I strongly disagree, I am not saying they do not have hum, I had hum when I first hooked it up, what that meant to me is that I have some ground loop, and after tracing out the ground loop and correcting it no more hum. There is not coloration in the audio, I do not know about the video side as I am only use the left + right. It just works , easy to setup, plug in you sources and then plug in you output, connect the power and your done. Less than 5 minutes and I was recording my Albums to my computer. (my turntable does not have USB or Line Level Output it requires a pre-amp), with this setup anything on the tape monitor loop goes to my computer, and this does not add any noise on the tape monitor loop, it converts the output into 4 separate isolated output with no cross-talk

It works! And it can be used bidirectionally!
I picked this up to use as an audio input switch for my temporary "budget hifi" setup. coupled with a turntable pre-amp (cheapest starts on amazon at around $12 USD) this works pretty well to swap between my record players, tape deck, chromecast, cd player, and DAC on the AUX input on my vintage receiver.I also tried it in the reverse: plug my cd player into the "output" and connect several amps to the switch using the 1-8 inputs. The signal from the CD player can be sent to different amps with the push of a button, making this completely bidirectional. Why is that cool? Well, if you're a nut like me and have lots of vintage gear and want to immediately put them against each other, you can use switch no 1for a range of inputs, run switch no 1's OUTPUT to the OUTPUT of switch no 2 (which will act as switch no 2's solitary INPUT), and connect the AUX of each amp to switch no 2's INPUTS (allowing you to send the signal as an OUTPUT to one amp at a time).I wonder if it can handle being used as a speaker switch?<<WARNING - that could put your speakers in danger since there is no offset circuitry>>I watched a lot of reviews about these types of chinese made switch boxes and worried that the lack of an internal ground would cause a ton of background noise. I haven't had that problem, though grounding it to the case would be hard since this is powder-coated steel (powder coatings act as an insulator).still, the ground line is easy to test for and running a spare internal wire on those contacts isn't hard.

Worked at first, next day loud hum noise. Then it worked perfectly!
Worked perfectly at first, did a test recording which was clear and great. Plug it all in again the next day and presto! Ground hum... really loud ground hum. I would like to return it but it might be better just to get a new one. 6/22/2018Update: Re-plugged everything in today and it works! must have been a bad cable. Works great! I might buy another one just in case. Good Price good product.

Just what every retro setup needs.
I started a retro setup in my garage and wanted the easiest possible way to hook them all up. This thing works great with my multi power switcher and it makes switching between the devices as easy as a flick of the switch. Plus you add a av to hdmi adapter to the outlet and say goodbye to lag.

Worth the money; but not for home studio use..
Had great hopes to reduce cable splits but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. 1. Added audible hiss and hum to every line. 2. "On" light can only be seen from directly in front of unit - I know its minor but I'm already reviewing for a much more significant issue. WOULD be great if maybe it were grounded - it is not - uses a 12v dc converter power supply. Returned. Oh yes, very easy to use. And if you really don't care about hiss and hum it's actually not bad for $20 or so. I could envision setups where this could work quite well. Note too that I have no comment on the split video quality as I only used it to split stereo audio. I stuck it into a setup with a Tascam Model 10 mixer, JBL mkii monitors and various other quality sources using quality RCA patch cables and it was simply not happening. More like "Oh H*** No".
