Multiple Failures! Excellent accountability Updated 1/2024 Update 1/16/24
Company has excellent follow-up service. I’ve received full replacements of all my lights defective lights. I’m hopeful we’ve now solved this issue. I’ll be purchasing more lighting products from this company.I purchased 10+ fixtures for my shop in separate orders, one as a test. All worked well until one quit, after taking down the fixture it smelled of burnt wiring. Contacted the vendor where they sent me 2 replacements which I thought was interesting since only one fixture had failed. Now I had one literally start to smoke and terminate. Reached out to the manufacture via email and have yet to hear how they plan to address this issue. Positive note, structure is well built, great illumination just internal failure which I hope they have rectified in new models- reason for 2 stars. Update: Several weeks passed so I posted a video showing my fixture smoking, I was then contacted promptly and 2 more lights were sent and it was requested that I take down the video, which I did. It’s now been a few more months and 2 more lights have terminated. I frankly never consider marking my lights to know which ones may have been part of the “old failing” design or the new better design. Reached out to the vendor via email and have yet to hear so once again, I’m posting video #2 of another light terminating. I was able to capture this one as you can hear the light start to pop and crackle just prior to start smoking. Turn up the sound to hear the effect. Company once again, took full responsibility for the failure of the first generation light that had a defect. They are now sending replacement for all lights purchased. So far, the 2 replacement lights have not failed. I’m removing the video of the second light smoking.

Amazing customer service
Super bright and easy to hang. I got 4 lights for my shop and they all have worked perfectly being used between 12 and 20 hours a day 7 days a week for over a year. Yesterday one light started to flicker so I messaged the seller and they replied in less than 10 minutes and said they are sending me 2 replacement lights for free. I highly recommend this seller.

Best garage lamp ever
Super bright. I mean, SUPER, very very bright. Illuminates my entire garage and gives a big spotlight over one area at the same time. You need to see fine detail with struggling with light or your eyes? This solves that problem!! I need a lot of light for some tasks I work on and this has been perfect. I have a smaller version at half the power inside the house in my workshop but this larger one is absolutely amazing in the garage! I have it set up on a remote control just to eliminate the need to wire another switch and its been so useful in this configuration. I haven't measured the power use but it does get very hot, the metal housing acts as a heatsink and does get very hot but most of the 240W of electrical energy is converted to light so it's more like a 1500W lamp! And those get much hotter so even less efficiency. These LED bay lights are just awesome. If you don't have one yet, definitely get this one, especially since its dimmable. Great price, recommended!

Very bright with dimmer option and 5 year warranty
The CHMLT 240W LED light is a powerful and versatile tool that is easy to use and setup. The device is well made, durable and can be used indoors wired or plugged in to the main power. The light is dimmable and produces 36000 lumens at its maximum setting. The light temperature is 5000K which is close to bright white daylight in colour and provides plenty of illumination for a very large area. The device is easy to hang with the built in hook and 6 foot power cable or can be wired to the main power. The light is heavy enough to require proper hanging support due to its great construction including aluminum heatsink area. The light has wires to connect a dimmer switch or connect to building main power with a dimmer switch on the line. The light does get hot to the touch after prolonged use at brightest settings however is normal for this many LED diodes on a lamp. The aluminum heatsink provides adequate dissipation of heat however keep flammable objects away from the lights surface.Overall this is a great way to light any area in bright white light and works perfect for large areas like inside garages or sheds and can be used hung under a vehicle engine bay hoods to provide a very bright working area. The light has a 5 year warranty which is great for peace of mind and makes this a great value.

4.5* Super bright, solid construction
I've got a few of these "UFO" lights, and - if I'm honest - they're all really good. The trouble I have with them, however, is that because I don't have them all in the same place it's difficult to judge and to believe the brightness claims. This CHMLT UFO light claims to produce 36,000 lumens of light... but I cannot tell if it's actually any brighter than my other 30,000 lights. I suppose when you're pushing out so much light, the differences are marginal. So, simply because I cannot tell the difference in the extra 6,000 lumens compared to my other lights, I'm knocking a star off my rating.Otherwise, this UFO light seems really solid... though, again, completely in line with my others. The cast aluminum (I assume) housing features a nice matt black finish on a clean casting with no rough edges that I found. I appreciate that the overall construction seems to use screws, rather than relying on any glue. What you might miss in the product photos is that it does come with a backup safety cable in addition to the excessively solid primary eye for hanging the light... but it does not include a chain. The safety cable is about 18" long (including some allowance for a little slack), and the power cord is about 4.5' long.Overall, it's a great product and your garage will thank you if you can put a couple of these things in it. (A couple because if you have 2 or more then you probably won't find yourself working in your own shadow.)

Gets warm - Nearly 240W - Dimmable (to stay cooler)
The media could not be loaded. This is a powerful light. Playing with it on the bench before installing, I measured 85 degree Celsius on the aluminum. This worries me as it was a room temperature (20), and not a foot away from a steel roof on a 30 degree day. I do worry when items run that hot for longevity sake. With my meter, I measured 225W going into it (@ 120V - it says it’ll run on 240 too, but it’s pre-wired as a 110V 3 prong plug). I dimmed it down to 55W and it got up to a temperature of 40 C.That brings me to the next point - it is dimmable. It is designed to run a commercial 1-10V dimming wire (s). I have a variable power supply I can use to generate the signal, however the lights themselves actually generate enough power that you can hook a resistor, or variable resistor between them to achieve the dimming effect. The resistor I used in the video took me to the 55W mark. I forget what its rating was - something tells me 5k, however I attached a picture if you wanted/ were able to look it up. I have a kit from 15 years ago and I played with them until one worked well. This system works well for 1,2 or 3 lights max.The light has a very light flicker/strobe to it as seen in the video. A lot of lights are quite a bit worse than this, but some are rock solid (my preference). Still, I don’t notice it if it isn’t being filmed, and I have it in a storage area (vs a work area with spinning tools). The video also shows the difference between 55 and 220 W light output.
