Newbie to the Paleo diet, fell in love with the recipes.
I am new to the paleo diet, in a sense. I have studied nutrition extensively and loved the ideas for kids food/snacks. i have kids that are picky eaters and these fell in great with what they love to eat. On my own beliefs, I find that eating large amounts of animal fat to be medically unsound advice, as well as damaging to anyone's health, especially a child. Everything in moderation. I would not recommend eating big amounts of fat, but adding these wonderful recipes with some cut backs on the bacon, sausage intake. I agree that as a species we are much better off with ancestral diets and eating foods in their raw or lightly cooked form is best. Still I liked the book and would love to see the author write more recipes on the subject.

Easy recipes
The Paleo Kid has some easy recipes that should satisfy any kid and most adults. I thought it well written and although not of the strictest "Paleo" a very good start for any family with children just beginning the Paleo adventure. I really appreciated where Kate mentions how the recipe freezes. Don't we all wonder when we have just made a batch of something if it will freeze and re-heat well? I am always looking for "lunchables" that hubby takes frozen in the morning and are thawed by lunchtime and can either be warmed up or eaten chilled or room temperature.I would like to see in a future edition nutritional info per serving. I personally like to see that on all recipes.Good work Kate Evans Scott!

Simple and delicious recipes!
We have been thinking about going paleo for a long time, but I worried about how my kids would adjust. The recipes in this book are fabulous and easy and I recommend it for all busy parents who are trying to get real food into their kids diets, whether you are full-on paleo or not.There are a few distinctions I think should be noted about using only grass-fed gelatin. And the use of aluminum foil should not be encouraged as aluminum is highly toxic and should never touch our food. But it definitely doesn't take away from the wonderful recipes in the book. Also, agave is not a traditional, or "paleo", sweetener and is not recommended for real food diets.Overall the book and recipes are wonderful and I will be passing along to other paleo and non paleo friends. Thank you !

Easy for who?
These aren't easy in the "Hey, I have four kids and need to throw dinner together in 10 minutes or they're going to rebel on me and we'll end up in a drive-through or at least eating out."They still have, what I consider, some exotic ingredients. Kids are so easy to go paleo because they don't usually require, or like, fancy fritattas and complicated procedures.Almond butter on apples- paleo and easy snack.Chicken in a crockpot with diced tomatoes, garlic, and green chillies- paleo, easy, and makes great "tacos" for kids and parents alike.I'd love to see a Paleo book that didn't steer straight at things that either cost an arm and a leg or that the average (brought up so far on pb&j) kid won't look at with horrified suspicion when presented at the dinner table.

Awesome Recipes for the Paleo and not so Paleo kid
This is a refreshing book. Its nice to see a Paleo book geared towards kids who don't like a ton of different things on their plates. With picky eaters of my own I especially liked the no nonsense simple recipes. I can't wait to try out the catsup, my young ones can go thru it with their weight in gold. As the sweet teeth go in my home, their always on the prowl for cookies so I'm happy to sees a cookie recipe that is gluten free as well as fun and yummy.Can't wait to see whats next from Kate Evans Scott. If you haven't gotten this book its well worth it.So what are you waiting for go check it out! You won't regret it!

Great for kids, and grown-ups too!
I just downloaded this book, and then went through it as I searched for stuff to make for dinner this week (we're planners). There are so many great recipes to choose from! I haven't made anything from the book yet, but can already tell we'll like the recipes. All the meals use regular ingredients, which means I'm not going to have to search for exotic ingredients I'll only use once. And each meal is simple to create with very little steps. Definitely worth a download!

Excellent Guide to get your Kids Started Paleo Style!
The Paleo Kid is all about getting back with nature. The author does a great job outlining the plant focuses eating style with protein- just how caveman used to eat!What's really Impressive is how the author incorporates simple strategies to get your kids eating Paleo.The recipes are also great to get you going.Bottom line is, this is a book you need to read and use! Good stuff!

Great, Easy Recipes for Kids and Adults!
I really like this book. It has lots of good, simple and easy recipes you can make in minutes. Some reviewers have said this book is too basic, but I think less is more. I try to eat Paleo on a daily basis, but I'm not much of a cook, and I don't have much time to prepare meals. This book has given me some great go-to recipes. Thanks to the author!

Good for beginners, but nothing new.
I've been paleo for over a year now and I'm a recipe blogger myself so every recipe in the book I've already come across in other books or on the internet.I was hoping to gain a few more ideas for child friendly recipes, especially for things like packed lunches.This would suit someone new to the world of paleo for some starter recipes :)

Useful, even if you're not a kid
Lots of great ideas and recipes, for any age of kid! Lots of 'alternatives' too. Also a great, easy to read, introduction about Paleo. Recommended.

Not quite life transforming
there are some really good recipes here and many that will fit in with my family, some ingredients may be a challenge to get...
