I am absolutely loving the start to Rachel Leigh's brand new reverse harem series Bastards of Boulder Cove. I read the prequel that followed the story of Scarlett's parents set in the same school but 18 years previous.This series is full of mystery and Scarlett is forced to enrol at the school by the Lawless ( consisting of Neo, Jagger and Crew) her childhood friends/enemies.They subject her to bullying and torment to try and force her to stay in line, but Scarlett doesn't take kindly to being told what to do.At first she thinks she is being solely targeted by the three guys, but as strange things start to happen that even Crew and Jagger aren't aware of, they realise that there is someone else after Scarlett.Crew is my favourite of the guys so far with Jagger starting to come out of his shell. I don't really understand Neo's hatred of Scarlett yet, but hoping in the next book we get to read from his perspective as its mainly been Scarlett and Crew so far. I think there is more going on then we realise yet and I can't wait for everything to be revealed. The epilogue is making me really excited for when Vicious Lies comes out!

I couldn't put this down. Not only do I absolutely eat up the dark academia x bully romance vibes but we also get a potty mouthed, strong-willed FMC and I'm here for it and then some. Scarlett does not take kindly to her childhood friends-turned-enemies trying to control and humiliate her but she also knows she gotta give something to get something back. I loved Scar as our FMC, she was someone I could relate to on a personality level and definitely someone I would be friends with.The Lawless boys are disgustingly hot each in their own ways and the power just adds to the appeal. We have tortured Neo who has a tornado of emotions eating him up on the daily, laid back Jagger who you find yourself softening to and then sweet baby Crew. My heart hurts for him and his conflicting loyalties.Having read the prequel, I went into this book with questions that did not get answered but more questions piled on top. I absolutely devoured this book and am obsessed with this world and this story. My brain is spinning webs trying to piece things together and I am desperate for the next installment.If you're into dark academia, bully romance, enemies to frenemies-that-bang all wrapped up with secret societies, intrigue and mystery then read this immediately.

We all know I love a dark, bully romance and I absolutely devoured this!! If you want to read about men that you’ll watch to punch and kiss at the same time and about a strong woman who doesn’t put up with anything from the men then I defo recommend this!!Oh boy am I in love with Crew and Jagger. They drive me insane with their mood swings but omg they’re so hot!! The spicy scenes were 👩🏻‍🍳💋Neo needs to chill out and stop being a controlling hot head! I mean for goodness sake he can’t keep blaming Scar for what happened, it’s not fair on her for him to keep taking his anger out on her. I hate that he controls and manipulates Crew and Jagger too.Don’t even get me started on the crazy messed up games they create. The whole hierarchy thing is insane, like flipping heck these people are obsessed with power and control!This stalker is beyond obsessed. What they found at the end brought me out in goosebumps. It’s creepy as hell!!

Three gorgeous, possessive guys, one strong badass girl and a whole lot of mystery.I loved it!Through the manipulations of Crew, Jagger and Neo, Scarlett ends up at Boulder Academy where she finds herself thrust into the schools games, orchestrated by her three bullies.There's so much going on in this book - games are being played by all the characters, Scar included. And to what end, we just don't know yet.I loved Scar's character. She's tough and fiercely determined. And the guys, well they fall into the morally grey category (don't you love a morally grey MMC? I do!) They all have differing feelings towards Scar and I'm still undecided how I feel about each of them - Neo holding the most intrigue for me. And I definitely have a soft spot for Crew.The second book is out soon - it will be interesting to see how this story plays out. And what becomes of these four. I have my theories ;)
