Tapo for the win
I recently installed the Tapo Smart Light Switch, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. This smart switch has truly transformed my home lighting experience. First off, the setup was a breeze. The Tapo Smart Light Switch comes with clear instructions, and the entire installation process was straightforward. It connected to my Wi-Fi network effortlessly and synced with the Tapo app without any hiccups. The app itself is user-friendly, making it easy to control the switch remotely and set schedules. The value for money is outstanding. For a relatively affordable price, you get a smart switch that offers reliable performance and a range of features. The ability to control my lights from anywhere, schedule them, and even use voice commands with smart assistants makes this switch a fantastic addition to my home. One thing to note is that you’ll need a neutral wire for installation, which is common for smart switches. Also, depending on your setup, you may need a control module if you’re integrating it with existing systems. However, the benefits of having a smart, controllable light switch far outweigh these minor considerations. In summary, the Tapo Smart Light Switch is an excellent investment. It’s easy to set up, offers great value for money, and provides enhanced control over your home lighting. If you’re looking to upgrade to smart home technology, this switch is a fantastic choice. Plus, Amazon’s efficient service made the purchase process smooth and hassle-free.

Work well but are deep
Fairly easy to fit, following the video instructions they provide and work well once set up. The switches themselves are large and light to press, so easier than standard light switches and have been able to easily connect them to Google Home and Alexa so we can turn them on remotely, or by voice - handy when you realise it's gone dull in the kitchen when you're in the middle of chopping chicken or similar. They are deeper than standard switches due to the batteries in them, so would have needed an extension plate for one of the locations I'd considered using them, which wouldn't look great, so something to consider depending on your walls.

Great quality
Best quality reliable switch that I have used, have used much more expensive and various brands but these are by far the best that I have used. Reliable quality switches that you will not be disappointed with after a few weeks when others start to fail

Check depth of back box prior to purchase
Easy to fit, easy to set up, and works well. I use it with the H200 hub. But note that most light switch back boxes are shallow. This smart switch is 25mm deep. Therefore it requires a 30mm, or preferably a 35mm, back box; alternatively a spacer can be used if a non flush install is acceptable.

Not able to flush fit
This is not what i thought - it has a huge lump on the back so you need to put it in a wall box, you cant stick it on the wall for instance. Switches do what supposed to - just doesn't fit with my expectation. No mention of a huge chunk on the back on the blurb. Including a pic of this to help others.

Great stuff
Very happy with these switches. Easy to fit and set up with the hub. One thing I would say is, take the time to deepen the cut out for your back box. Adding spacers are a quick fix but ugly. It's a simple process to deepen the cut out. Drill a bunch of holes in the brick and go at it with a chisel. It added an extra 20-30 minutes to the install for me but the finish is so much more professional. Also, if you only have a single switch you're replacing, consider whether you'd benefit from having this 2 switch. I replaced the switch for the ceiling lights (1 switch, wired in). The second switch I didn't wire anything in at all.. I added an automation in the app, when the second switch is pressed, it turns on/off an LED light strip. It's great way to add extra functionality to the wall switch without having to add additional wiring. Though remember, if you're using this switch to control something that isn't wired directly to it, there will be a momentary delay while it asks the hub to do its thing. Wired in lights are instant. No flickering at all, if you have flickering the load is too small. Matter compatible, so you can control it with other Matter enabled ecosystems. It's a great and inexpensive way to add smart lights without wasting time with silly smart bulbs.

+ Cost-effective + Works with loop-in - Instructions lacking -Screws too short
I have fitted half of the lamps in my flat with Tapo GU10 and E27 Multicolor bulbs. Since the other half doesn't need RGB, I bought this £16 switch instead of wasting £50 on new bulbs just for the smart feature. The switch works as intended, however there is a slight delay in toggling the lights compared to the Tapo smart bulbs. I disagree with one of the other reviewers claiming the need to hire an electrician for slightly more complicated pre-existing wiring. However the installation instructions could be greatly improved upon by providing wiring diagrams of common switch circuits and how those translate to the S220. Perhaps they would have then realized that the S220 is not suitable for their 2-way switch. That being said I recommend everyone to examine their wiring (after flipping the corresponding circuit breaker switch) and to compare it with the installation instructions PRIOR to purchasing. I am a confident DIYer, albeit admittedly slow to understand electrics. It took me well over an hour to figure out how to install this switch, since I didn't know what a loop-in was and the instructions don't specify whether you are allowed to insert two wires into a single terminal. Some hints for those facing the same predicament: - The S220 only requires a single Lin, so you can't/needn't bridge the A/Com1 and B/Com2 terminals. Just connect the live wire that previously went into A/Com1 to Lin. - If your switch has a loop-in (live wire entering A/Com1 and another exiting B/Com2 as shown in pic 1+3) then you must connect both to Lin as shown in pic 2*. I recommend marking the loop-in wire with some electrical tape for the next time you change the switches. Lastly, the installation kit included a pair each of black and silver 40mm (?) electrical screws to attach the switch to back/pattress box. Unfortunately my box is recessed, meaning the provided screws were too short and I was additionally unable to reuse my existing screws due the slight addition in plate thickness. I would much prefer screws of different/greater lengths to be included, since they can be shortened with a pair of wire cutters. * I trimmed the copper wires, so that they aren't exposed, after taking this picture. I also removed the painters tape labels as it might pose a fire hazard.

To save energy and make smart without replacing the bulbs
To save energy, I am looking for the smart switches to avoid forgeting to turn off my lightings when I leave. Searching online for a long time and very glad to see the TP-Link Tapo is extending their smart home product family. I am using Tapo plugs and cameras. It is reliable and easy to use. So I bought this one to have a try. After one week usage, I can leave the comments here: Pros: easy to install with no neutral wire required so I just need to install it as a normal switch; real smart to include the remote control, voice control, schedule (which is really what I need); an unifyed smart home system - I learned from TP-Link website about the 'smart action' to control all my Tapos together; battery included and able to be replacement looks a safe design. Cons: I need to buy a hub Tapo H100 (DON'T FORGET IT); it costs but fair to try more sensors to have one HUB only; smart action is not easy to understand, you need to learn more from their web or ask their tech support.
