More than I expected in a way!
I came upon this searching for balance platforms... I wanted to get one to help work my core muscles thru isolation, but reading reviews, i became worried that I was not yet ready for the real thing and would break my ankle.I used to be a ballerina, and ballerinas use them on one pointe shoe to sharpen their balance, but I'm quite far from my ballet days and trying to get back in to shape nearing 40.I ordered this thinking it would get me started off and soon ready for a real half ball balance platform. When it came I was so delighted! Not only is it easier to do than a balance ball platform, but it's still difficult enough to work your core.In addition, you can use it anywhere, dishes, stove, standing desk... to turn any standing activity in to core work. This last thing I hadn't thought of until I was on it... I began walking daily up the hill in my neighborhood (all hills) and have been worried wondering how to keep it going when the icy weather comes...Bc this thing rocks if you pick up one foot, you can literally simulate hill walking in place!I'm sure that just having it around will help me reach my goals as far as level of activity thru winter!!!5 🌟 recommend!

Absolutely perfect
Works absolutely perfectly. I got a standing desk recently and quickly realized I needed something to cushion my feet but through the balance board I also got something to help keep me in motion. It has really helped and I use it for most of my work day while I'm standing.

Love it!
Perfect! Enough movement to keep blood flowing while being stable enough to type/work at computer! Awesome value for the cost!

Did not help my back
My back started hurting way faster when I used this thing versus my normal anti fatigue mat.

A Nice Addition to My Standing Desk
Summary:This is a nice anti-fatigue / movement encouraging / foot massage board that makes my standing desk more fun to use... But I cannot imagine it as a fitness device.Details:While it is better for your health to stand than to sit, standing for too long leads to fatigue and, if you stand stiffly or with bad posture, can lead to its own health problems. The solution is to keep moving instead of statically standing, but it feels weird and disruptive to your workflow if you spend a lot of time wandering around your desk or trying to do stretches. This board makes these problems better because it provides a nice anti-fatigue surface and allows you to shift your balance back and forth constantly which means your body remains active through the day. The little reflexology / massage nubs also feel nice and help keep me focused through the day. The board is also well made and as attractive as something like this can be.The one downside to this board is that balancing on it is incredibly easy. That may seem like a positive but one of the selling points of balance boards is, well, improving balance and I cannot imagine this board doing much for that. Another selling point of balance boards is that they are supposed to engage your core as you adjust and shift your balance... Again this is so easy to balance on that I cannot see much of that happening. For my needs, I am perfectly happy with the ease of balance because I wanted this mostly as an anti-fatigue device that encourages me to move my legs more while I am at my desk. But if you want a more "fitness" oriented board this may not be for you.
