Very easy to refill. Not at all messy.

This works easily. Its coverage is thorough. I've used it on form letters,envelopes, magazines, newspaper, hand addressed greeting cards and return labels. All of it works very well. Then I needed to see what an address was on mail I had blacked out. By holding it just-so in the light, I could read the name was on the mailer and the address. So if I were really concerned about the contents of certain documents, I would shred as well as blacken.When I was using a sharpie to block my name and address on magazines and papers, it had the same possibility -- that the raised surface of the printed address could be seen through the blackening cover if I tried hard enough. Using a ball point to scribble on the name & numbers did more to obliterate the raised printing of my address than the Sharpie.I think it will be great in turning library books into discards at the library I work in 1 or 2 days a week. Currently we use a Sharpie to black out the library name and address, found on 5 or more pages/edges of the books we remove from the collection.It is a great item to add to my ID-theft-prevention toolbox. I keep it where I open mail . But it will not replace my shredder completely. I have bought the refill ink and extra rollers to give at Christmas to family.

I bought this knowing it might not work in the older type roller stamps but it works really well. I just put a few drops at a time on the roller and rolled it and repeated that until I thought the roller was full. The ink covers the identity very well. These 3 small tubes are well worth the price and will save me money by not having to buy a new roller stamp each time.

A little expensive, but that’s what the Other half wanted, Maybe I’ll buy a shredder to replace my broken one in the future.But it’s a handy device.

Item is as described but the roller stamp doesn't work as well with the replacement ink, worked much better from new. The roller stamp is a great product but not as effective with the replacement ink.
