Growing up and getting wise about gluten
I have been very resistant to examining my gluten intake but every where it turns now I'm being asked to explore the possibility that I am gluten intolerant. I had IBS for years. I had depression and headaches for years. I had a cancer that some have said is really an autoimmune disease instead. But lately my skin has become very itchy and inflamed for most of the year. My chiro believes it is because I'm gluten intolerant. I know there are tons of replacements, but I had resistance to really educating myself further on this subject. This simple book is an easy read and to me it seems much more than a quick start guide. I've learned so much about how to make the change and my body is dancing within in joy of the potential to feel better with some simple changes this book offers. Suddenly a field I've been avoiding is now in my hands and not seeming so scary at all. Thanks to Jennifer Wells.

Fine for GF dabblers; look elsewhere if you are autoimmune
This book is exactly as titled - a quick guide to going gluten free. If you have done other reading ( such as Wheat Belly, The Paleo Solution, or Primal Blueprint) and feel like you have a good understanding of those materials then this probably won't be of much use to you. But if you are interested in an outline of the gluten free lifestyle then this would suffice. I think its greatest strength is in the later chapters where it goes over practical topics like shopping lists and setting up a new pantry.BUT if you have serious autoimmune or gut problems then you should look for another resources on autoimmune protocols. The approved foods list in this includes a lot of things that are recognized as inflammatory and that are eliminated on other protocols. This book is really just for gluten free dabblers, not people that are needing nutritional help for long term fixes for medical issues.

As Advertised- A Quick Start Guide!
Jennifer Wells has written a book that will appeal to someone who requires a gluten free diet as well as someone who is not sure if they should be gluten free. The book flows well and is easy to read. I was most impressed with the chapter covering items that would surprise you that contain gluten. The author was right- I was surprised! I also felt that she did a great service for her readers by providing hotlinks to quality sites so they can tailor future research to areas of interest. This book is a good primer and as advertised- a quick start guide for a gluten-free diet.

Good starter book
As someone who is just starting to consider going gluten free this book was helpful. Not full of a bunch of technical terms. Plain and to the point. I will use this as a reference until I get my head wrapped around this whole gluten free diet lifestyle.

Good basics
This is a quick and easy read. She did cover the basics and the book has some great lists and references, but I was hoping for a little more than what was contained within the book.

Super Helpful
This book is a super quick read and promises what it delivers--to be a quick start guide for folks like me who are considering going gluten free. The only catch is that it's so short. Would've loved for it to be longer. But hey, for only $0.99 it's a great deal considering the amount of information she packs in.

Decent book
I have been paying more attention to gluten in my food after I read and heard from many that gluten is bad for brain in the long term. This book is very good starter for going gluten free. It lists out foods which have gluten and which do not have gluten. Its easy to read and understand.

A great beginning
This is a great book to start on your Gluten free wellness. It gives you enough information so you understand what may be causing your symptoms and how to get rid of the "problem" foods. But, this book is not overwhelming!A great way to become informed quickly and start making positive changes NOW!

Little things that make a big difference to gluten-sensitive people
I first thought that this book would be a bit too basic, but after reading it I realized that many of us, gluten-sensitive people, focus too much on gluten in foods, and forget that it is virtually everywhere - soaps, detergent, mouthwash, even lipstick. No wonder gluten-free lifestyle requires special preparations. I found the list of gluten-free additives extremely useful too. The only reason why I have given this book a "4" rather than a "5" is that I saw no information about choosing gluten-free detergents and cosmetics, - would have loved to have it, exactly in the same format as the foods. But may be this is subject of another book... thank you Jennifer Wells!

More than just a quick start guide
This book is titled a quick start guide but I found it much more extensive in its coverage than expected which was a great surprise. There is a great deal of information to take in and many aspects which I had not even thought about so I am so grateful for the author writing this book - it has helped so much. I will be reading other sources as more information is required for a full understanding but this book is definitely a very good place to start for your gluten free life.

Not bad for a short book .
Repetitive and aimed at American market, it is what it said a quick start guide.
