I Want to Be a Veterinarian

About 20 years ago, I bought this book through Amazon for one of my nieces. As of about nine months ago, my niece Jennifer, started her first job in a hospital in Boston, Mass as a Veterinary Surgeon and making big bucks! So, it must be a good book :<)

We’ll written to inspire young people who want to become veterinarians. It includes all aspects of veterinary medicine, good for an overview of specialties while focusing on large animals and pets. Photos were of high quality.

This book is wonderful! My 11 yr old want's to be a veterinarian when she gets older and this book is very informative. It provides the perfect amount of picture to info ratio. It's not super dumbed down but it's also not boring and too "wordy" if that makes sense?

Perfect gift for any child who loves animals or expresses interest in a veterinary career (or not!). We purchased it for our 3 year old niece and she loves the many photos. Her mom "paraphrases" while reading it so she learns the age appropriate material but can also "grow into" the book later. Very comprehensive info and lots of pictures. Everyone loved it!

Both my daughter (who wants to be a veterinarian) and myself like the content of the book a lot. It covers the different types of vets, the training involved, specialties, equipment, a typical day of a vet, etc. However, the pages are jammed pack with sidebars and pictures to the point where it gets a little distracting. I would have liked a more personal view - more vets writing in the first person perhaps, or FAQ type things that would make the material more palatable for the age group it is targeted to. But overall, a good book.

Bought this, the book "Pet First Aid for Kids" and AKC Pet First Aid Kit, Animal X-Ray Set & Learning Resources Stethoscope for my granddaughter who loves animals, has 2 pet dogs and wants to be a veterinarian herself. It is a more age appropriate gift for an older child with such interests.

I gave this as a gift to my friends daughter after my granddaughter received one for Christmas. Both girls loved it as they both hope to be a vet when they grow up. My granddaughter has re-read it several times and hopes to get more in the future. They are easy to read and contain information on many areas of that career. Thanks.

This looks great as a Christmas gift for my 9yo Granddaughter. Large print, many pictures. I scanned it and it looks enjoyable but it is up to her. I recommend it and this seller, would buy again , and I hope this helps.
