It Takes a Village: Picture Book

Marla Frazee is an amazing illustrator and we love all her books, every child should have at least one of her books in their collection. It does take a village, and if you disagree, you may be ignoring the realities of our world. All children have many people in their lives helping them along the way, and this is an empowering message to both caregivers and children. Kids definitely do not come with instructions, and every person that enters your child's life, from the mailman, to their teachers, to a nurse on a hospital visit, have an impact on them. It does take a village.

Every household should have this book and live by its message.....now more than ever, children need to hear and listen to a calming, intelligent leader. If a parent cannot find the words to help kids learn how to live together and SHARE this planet, then I suggest you defer to Ms Clinton's book. ALL CHILDREN need to be encouraged to find beauty and happiness outside their immediate lives. Since there is no leadership in our top government, and children seem to be petrified of believing or trusting adults other than their immediate family, it is important that we help them to make critical and thoughtful decisions and choices so that they can determine who among to trust. It is OUR responsibility to help children to grow into full, articulate citizens. Children are the movers and shakers of the FUTURE. Let's help them to become more strong and confident in these trying times of doubt, paranoia and manufactured fear.

Beautiful book. Lovely pictures always love Marla Frazee books. My daughter was born on the eve of the election so I thought it appropriate to give her this book for her first birthday! Great message for little ones!The trolls that are on here giving it one star wow get more to do really!

The faculty and staff at my school gifted a copy of this book to our three administrators. We had all the students at our school sign them. Our principals loved that extra personal touch. After all, raising/teaching children really does take a village!

The headline says it all. Bought for my almost 5 year old granddaughter. I thought this book by Hillary Clinton was perfect for our times. I worry about her future and want to give her a base and foundation to build in. She is our county’s future. Hillary is a great mentor and role model for us all.

I love the message of this book, but at only about 118 words, some of the ideas could’ve been expanded upon on each page. The illustrations are beautiful and add greatly to the brief text. Way too short.

Lovely children's picture book of her iconic first version of It Takes A Village. Opens with the question: What does it take to change the world? and then goes on to give a positive, inspirational message to young people. The illustrations are wonderful.

I bought this book from Mexico, I really wanted to have it. The message and the design of the book is perfect. I 100% reccomend it. Imagine if she were the president. What a smart woman. The book arrived in perfect conditions.
