Wonderful!!
It gives you so much information, but not in an overwhelming way I’ve been really having a good time learning more about my chart and astrology!

A terrific introduction to astrology
This is a tremendous resource for beginners and novices of astrology. It took me from knowing very little about astrology and being somewhat skeptical to now feeling like I can actually slowly prepare a natal chart and begin to understand what the pros are talking about.I’m definitely going to reread this text. I think it will be as good of a refresher as it was a primer for me.It is also a visually stunning book and it would look great on any coffee table!

My favorite book on Astrology
I bought this book for my nephew who is a 12 year old genius, reading classical Greek, memorizing Shakespeare, mastering the violin, and he loves this book! I haven't had a chance to read it myself, but after glancing through many books on astrology, it looked to be by far the most visually beautiful. It also has great respect for the histories and cultures that created astrology, as well as for the reader who wants to see relationships and associations between myths, gods, planets, stars, houses, aspects, etc., instead of being given superficial statements about (for instance) what moon in Taurus means. The book invites you to ponder and create your own interpretations after studying the history of meanings, relationships, and overall picture. It's inspiring.

Beautiful visual book
Beautiful visual book that is a joy to look through. With lots of historical and mythological descriptions, it kinda feels like reading a Nat Geo magazine, in a very good way that history- and culture-minded people would appreciate. Astrological interpretations of planets, signs, houses, and aspects are concise, straightforward, effective, and useful. It provides easy, simple approaches to chart interpretation, which is nice for reference.

Who edited this book??
There are grammar errors and even a flat-out mistake on page 109 where the Polarity and Quality for Sagittarius are identified incorrectly (they're swapped!). It speaks of Planet, Sign, and House generalities but, still, a beautiful and interesting book.

It has gained cult popularity, evidenced by a recent spike of prevalence in any bookstore I visit.
Look, I love this book. I love that it is kind of like beginners advanced astrology, yet is carried in Barnes & Noble, which doesn't specialize in advanced astrology books. My advice to someone venturing to read this fine book, who is as thorough and passionate about details as I am, but also kinda a little A.D.D. (hi, Aries here), is to please save yourself the time I wish I had so that I could be farther along right now. I was in a real hurry to learn next level info. By the time I enthusiastically reached the part preparing for reading and writing charts, the author advised the reader, to *go back* and really study and absorb info about the planets in previous sections. I could choose to ignore him, but felt compelled not to. If I'd have known he was going to suggest that, I'd likely have taken a lot more time with what I was reading to make sure I was properly absorbing it instead of zipping through what I felt I already knew well enough.
