Nova Terra: Worldbearer: The Titan Series, Book 10

3.5*
My feelings about these books are complicated. On the one hand, I spent hours reading them and enjoyed a fair amount of it. On the other the series has issues and some are profoundly annoying. On the plus side there’s the story, which is why I kept reading. On the minus side, there’s the dialogue, especially the characters‘ tendency to chuckle at completely inappropriate moments. “Haha, sorry, sorry!” “Haha, since everyone is ready, let’s hit the road.” “Haha, one of the first quests I got when I logged in.” As I’m not a masochist, I didn’t count the total number of times ‘Haha’ showed up, either just in this book or in the series as a whole, but believe me, the frequency was appalling.Who talks like that? No one I’ve ever heard. At first it was just Thorn/Xavier, but as the books went on, far too many other people began doing it too. Nails on a chalkboard for me…Every Single Time.Everyone also kept responding with “That’s a great question.” It started with Myst when she was walking Xavier through his intro to Nova Terra, then Thorn picked it up, followed by too many others. When all of an author’s characters start to sound alike, it’s a problem. Real people have their own speech patterns and rhythms, characters should too. There was no real ending to the series, and answers to the biggest questions about who Thorn is and what’s really happening were left for the next series. The character- and quest sheets were intrusive and over-long. The author should have just highlighted the part that changed, rather than repeating the whole thing. Sometimes what shifted was only one sentence or percentage, so making the reader wade through half a page trying to figure out what was different about it was a real time waster. The books badly needed a good editor. There were many grammatical errors, mostly incomplete edits, and sentences whose pronoun referred to the wrong person, etc.Like I said, they were complicated for me, but I did keep reading them. . .

Whither Titan...
An excellent series with a great storyline and very good character development. As I usually do, I had to read the entire Titan series before I left a review. What would happen if an AI was created and thought she was the one who supposedly helped people create a virtual game world, only to find out differently? SPOILERS COMING: Well, that was what Eve thought , only to find out differently as she helped or suppressed a specific player Thorn/Xavier as he played the "game." And what would happen if his medical nanites followed him into this supposed Virtual World? Lots of up and downs and plot twists you could not even see coming, at least, I couldn't. ;-). So get this series and have fun and enjoy!!!

Absolutely fantastic!
The Titan Series was an excellent story! Epic fantasy meets LITRPG meets science fiction... This series checks all the boxes: a compelling cast of characters, fantastic world-building, epic action, and great pacing with an increasing level of complexity as the timeline progresses. I would also recommend Seth Ring's other series, Battlemage Farmer.

Entertainment from page one.
I really enjoyed this series. The characters mature as the books go on, but don't feel forced. Looking forward to Thorns continuing adventures.

Great Writing Throughout the Series!
I have never read a series beyond a few books - three or four - where the writing has remained consistently good. This is it. I was sorry it ended and look forward to the second series of books when the author decides to write them.

amazing series. I love the system and characters
It was really too watch Thorn grow into what he is at the end of this book. I’m eagerly awaiting the next series to drop so I can see where he goes next and how long to find his family and friends.

Excellent
Finishing this series off under a beautiful English summer day, with some superb NZ drum and bass plays in the background... absolute chefs kiss, 5/7.Some storylines fell to the wayside - ragnaroks family politics? - but all in all fantastic story, easily in my top ten litrpg series.10 books to the series, but it feels like a great prelude to the next ten, I hope the author hasn't left us one cliff hanger and will continue to write more of thorns story.

Monster size series
I have enjoyed every book in this series. The MC has really evolved into something almost unbelievable. I am interested to see where the story arc goes from here, I hope to continue to follow developments. I will certainly continue to invest in this author and strongly recommend any reader dip into his back catalogue. I am sure he will continue to garner fans. Keep writing!

Exceptional series
I really enjoyed the series and read all ten of them without break. Despite some of the negative comments for the first book, I'm glad I decided to read this series. I hope to read more of Thorn and his adventures.

Just awesome
I've just finished the last book in this series and loved all of it. The stories developed beautifully leaving a sense of bigger things to come all through each book. I'm a big fan of LitRPG and this series did not disappoint! The battle scenes were very engaging and I often found it difficult to stop reading, only when I couldn't physically stay awake would I stop. The game style building/character builder sections were interesting and not too over the top. Really enjoyed the subtle hints at multiple words that run through this series and the promise of more to come!

Just wow!
What a way to end the series... I have followed and waited in anticipation for each book from the beginning. Just an amazing writer! The story is amazing and so detailed and honestly would love to see it as a TV series or film. Just wow!
