Sunflower Jasmine Tea, Original Jasmine Blend, 16 Oz

This loose tea comes in a tin that seals tightly, with both a fitted lid and an inner plastic lid, a thoughtful touch that sets up a good experience all the way around. It smells good just in the tin, but in the cup it brews up a good golden-brown color with a very subtle jasmine scent and a pleasing body. It tastes great both unsweetened and sweetened (with honey, Splenda, or sugar in my household's case) and equally good hot, lukewarm, and iced, but I'm not sure I'd put milk in it. Not only is it economical to buy, it re-steeps very well. It being a green tea, it's not nearly as caffeinated as black teas, so it can be drunk pretty much whenever you want it.I've seen people object to it on the basis that it doesn't contain a lot of flowers and isn't strongly-flavored of flowers. Both of these things are true, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's not made to be a super-strong jasmine tea and it doesn't pretend to be one. It's meant to be a very drinkable tea that goes well with a variety of foods (especially Asian ones, go figure). It tastes exactly like the tea I got at Chinese dim sum places and in Chinatown in one of the large cities I used to call home.This isn't a knock-you-off-your-seat strong tea, but for those times when you just want a basic tea to drink, this is the one. I drank it for years when I lived near an Asian market, and now that I don't have such easy access, I'm delighted to discover it for sale on Amazon. In short, if you want a super-flowery tea filled with dried flowers, this probably won't be your cuppa. If you want a basic tea that tastes great, has a subtle jasmine scent and taste, doesn't get you jittery, and goes well with food, you might like this a lot.

This tea is fresh and delicious. Mild or strong, according to how much to add to the teapot or tea ball. I love this brand of Jasmine tea. I boil the water then add the tea and steep for five minutes.

For the price one gets a great deal of black tea. The tin keeps the tea fresh. I have a cup most every night before I turn in. The aroma is pleasant and the taste is not bitter.

This is a very good , inexspensive green jasmine tea. It is a regular purchase for us and it’s of consistent quality and freshness. I’d have given it 5 stars , but the packaging has changed and it no longer seals up once opened. The lid to the tin (changed) barely stays on the tin once opened, and the tin used to have an inner plastic stopper , now omitted. Once opened, The tea will need to be decanted into a suitable airtight container to preserve freshness. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.

This is not jasmine tea!!

Delicious tea because it is dried entire green tea leaves and jasmine flowers. Other teas include STEMS which have NO flavor. I really enjoy the taste and aroma of this jasmine green tea and am on my second tin of it. The tin keeps tea leaves out of the light to maintain it’s flavor.
