I have more than a dozen of these and just bought a couple more. They're not replacements, all of them are still working over something like three years later. The quality is so much better than cheaper lamps. When I bought my first ones they were dearer, (£70 a pair?) they've now come down to £50, and I think they were 'dear' originally, but were still good value (which is why I bought more) and now I would not call them dear. They are good metal (alloy) shells, real glass worried me a little but with one having blown off a hook in a heavy storm, fallen onto concrete and not having suffered any damage I conclude it is toughened glass. The black finish on the alloy (is it anodised? powder coated? just paint?) is not flaking at all, though after a couple of years UV is more like dark grey than black. The long filament LED is excellent, they're brighter than most solar lights. Of course in winter when days are short and night are long they last less than summer, but I think burn time for charge time is very good. One plus is that they take replaceable rechargeable AA batteries which are easily found, but I have not yet had to replace a battery (over 3+ years) which is surprising. The surface of the solar panel is now starting to go 'milky' on the older ones, but they still charge okay. I have a gut feel I'll get a good five years out of these, and cheap lamps are lucky to do two. They're the best quality and value for money in my opinion.

I bought a pack of these some months ago and I was pleased with the quality appearance and performance so I bought another pack. These lights are powered by a 3v rechargeable battery and give out a nice clean white light. They appear to be well constructed and I am sure they will withstand the British weather for a considerable period of time. I am delighted with my purchase.

There was mixed reviews but took the chance.These lights are very well made and come well packaged just twist the two units together and switch on and your ready to go it also comes with the hanging brackets which are perfect .The lights are great for me just a warm glow if you want something more brighter than there not for you .at the moment they come on when getting dark and go off when it’s morning hopefully this will last, had them about a week so far and extremely happy with them .the photos show when they first came on .

Had first bought two and they were great but one stopped working after a year. Replaced the batteries (note- normal AA batteries don’t work, has to be LiPo4 batteries which are expensive), but still doesn’t light up for more than an hour at best. Bought two more a couple of months ago thinking it was just a one-off, but again ones stopped working already.They’re good while they work, but a bit of an expensive gamble.. so think before you buy.

Day two and I'm impressed. The lanterns charged throughout Day 1 and lit up around 9:30 p.m. local time with a consistent bright light until sunrise at 5:42 a.m. this morning. I hope the trend continues because they look absolutely beautiful in the garden next to our bird bath. I chose to hang them on shepherd hooks instead of using the brackets provided with the order. Well worth the price. I regret not purchasing a second set during the Prime Day Deals. Will wait for them to go on sale again! Fingers crossed the productremains flawless well into the Fall and beyond.

These lights are a great size, have actual glass, the bulbs are very bright. They very easily turn to remove the top and they have an off and on function, as well as a battery option! Super bonus I wasn't expecting. Mine sit high and do not get as much light but still come on and are bright at night. Very easy to install. Fast shipping and the best value for this type of light, I found. They are rustic in looks, light weight and seem to hold a great charge with limited sun exposure.

These lanterns are great! They are good looking, sturdy but not fragile, and give off bright light. I highly recommend! The battery also helps just in case it doesn’t get enough sun that day but I haven’t had to change it yet.
