Can the sensor be placed in the pan of a water heater? All the pictures show it outside the pan.

I intend to place this in my sump tank/pit about 6 inches above the highest water mark. Then the tank is covered. Good?

Is unit reusable after getting wet

If I am out of the country will I still receive notification on my smart phone (assuming my phone is set up for calls and texts outside the US)?
